The hotel was fine in itself - conference focussed but fine. We tried both restaurants and the food was poor in both - service was a touch better - in Vines a bit inattentive and in Redmond's cloying about asking how things are - but not doing the basics - bringing the wine we ordered, serving food late. Severe rain closed the Nicklaus course but staff worked wonders to accommodate everyone on the Cheshire course (greens were poor though). Wonderful views, good location, quality hotel. Food was excellent given it was a 'package deal'. Staff were all very attentive and a credit to the hotel. Would recommend.
