Lovely setting, great staff and one of the best spa experiences. Carden Park isn't cheap however, its worth it for total luxury and a special treat. Our courtyard room was lovely and had its own balcony. We used the hotel leisure facilities which were good, enjoyed a lovely meal in the brasserie and a relaxing morning in the garden spa, which is particularly impressive. Multiple steam rooms and saunas, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, cosy garden pods, lots of sun loungers and a bar! The worst part was having to come home! Our new favourite place, we will be back!

We visited goldies lounge for afternoon tea and the lack of customers/atmosphere was not a good sign. Opted for the £40 sparkling afternoon tea option. Sandwiches and scones were nice but cakes clearly not homemade and of poor quality, no patisserie skills and mostly cream or dry cake. Asked for more sandwiches as is usual and expected for £40 and told we had to pay for another afternoon tea to get more. Very poor and will not return. Complaints raised with staff at the time

Wynne Wedding 28th March 2024 We can’t believe it’s been two weeks since we got married, this is just a little thank you for helping us achieve our dream wedding. We are truly grateful for everyone’s hard work over our stay and wedding at Carden Park. Firstly, I would like to start with Natalie, from the minute she started working on our wedding she eased my anxieties and worries instantly! She listened and kept in contact at every point she could. Natalie was understanding, caring, and made us feel very looked after. Natalie really made the whole experience of planning our wedding that little bit easier. We will be forever grateful for all her hard work to make our day so special. Ewan, Ellie and Abbie, thank you so so so much for making our day run so smoothly, you were the smile and laughter I needed to keep me calm, you were so professional but the most fun to be with at the most nerve-racking points. You went above and beyond to make sure we were all ok! Constantly asking if there was anything we needed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being such a huge part of our day and making it so special. To the chefs, WOW the food was amazing throughout our stay! The pulled pork we had at our meal the night before was amazing, it was just what we needed. Breakfast in Redmond’s was lovely and fresh and we really appreciated being able to sit with our guests the morning after away from the rest of the hotel guests. Our wedding breakfast, every single person said how nice the meal was, it looked and tasted incredible! Thank you for being so accommodating swapping and changing thing for us to truly make it a personal menu. Team C&B, thank you to everyone who worked our big day, turning the room around, serving food and making everything seem so straight forward. You all worked incredibly hard and for that we are incredibly grateful! A special mention to Charlie who absolutely worked his socks off behind the bar, you were amazing, and it certainly didn’t go unnoticed. Morgan’s Bar, thank you for making us feel so welcome. You created a lovely calm atmosphere the night before and when guests were arriving on the day. The reception team and concierge team, thank you so much for all you help, you were so warm and welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help us. Thank you for helping us with all the trips to the cars to get all our things on arrival and when leaving. A special little mention to Kate in blooming beautiful, we know she’s not actually Carden but she was a huge part of our day and planning process, she is so knowledgeable of the hotel and how things work. Before Natalie took over our wedding, Kate went above and beyond with her advice and support. Thank you everyone one for making our dream wedding come true, every smiling face, every welcome and congratulations we received didn’t go unnoticed. We are truly grateful for everyone’s hard work; we had the best day and really can’t thank you all enough. Carden Park will now forever hold a special place in our hearts, we look forward to seeing you all very soon and wish you all the best in the future. Thank you so much, Beth & Luke Wynne

We came as a couple for my birthday and the whole experience was worth every penny! The setting is stunning with lovely grounds for gentle strolls. If the sun comes out then it's a real bonus. The room was a great size, plenty of pillows, comfortable bed, and impeccably clean bathroom. Little fridge in room was v handy for snacks and drinks. Brilliant breakfast - plenty of choice and replenished regularly. Lovely to enjoy it by the window with the view. We only booked the Leisure Club facilities but this was plenty for a swim / sauna etc. There are specific adult-only areas and times so definitely check with the team. Loads of towels, lockers, mirrors, products and the whole area was clean and nicely maintained. We ate at Redmonds - lots of options, generous portions, good wine list and a fun atmosphere. The staff across the whole estate are kind, well-mannered, attentive, helpful and so considerate. Every single person made us feel so welcome and special. Relaxed atmosphere with a real happy buzz about the place.

During my stay at this otherwise commendable hotel, where the spa facilities truly stood out as a pinnacle of relaxation and the practicality of two double beds in the family rooms was much appreciated, I encountered a significant concern that considerably dampened my overall experience. The approach to breakfast, a crucial aspect of any hotel stay, left much to be desired in terms of ethical sourcing and health consciousness, which unfortunately overshadowed the hotel's potential to deliver an exemplary experience. The absence of free-range eggs and unclear ethical standards regarding meat sourcing are particularly troubling, as these issues raise questions about the welfare conditions under which these products were obtained. The reliance on foods deep-fried in "vegetable" oils, instead of healthier alternatives like lard, tallow, or avocado oil, further compounds this issue. This approach not only diverges from the healthier dietary standards many of us strive to maintain but also misses an opportunity to cater to a growing demand for ethical and health-conscious dining options. Moreover, the lack of options for a higher-quality, organic, and sustainably sourced breakfast was a notable disappointment. In a time when more individuals are seeking out dining experiences that align with their values and health goals, the hotel's breakfast offerings seem misaligned with these expectations. The introduction of menu items such as chips cooked in tallow, aligning with the latest health insights that favor traditional fats over highly processed oils, would represent a significant step toward meeting these evolving diner preferences. While the hotel excels in certain areas, such as its remarkable spa facilities and thoughtful room configurations, the breakfast experience casts a shadow over what could have been a flawless stay. It's a stark reminder that attention to detail in all aspects of hospitality, including the ethical and health considerations of the food served, is crucial for achieving true excellence. The absence of modern amenities such as in-room "apps" on the TV, though a minor oversight, further suggests areas where the hotel could enhance its offering to match the expectations of contemporary travellers. In essence, while the hotel boasts several outstanding features, the significant shortcomings in its breakfast menu critically detract from the overall guest experience, underscoring a missed opportunity to fully realize its potential as a leader in hospitality excellence.

We are delighted to hear you found the hotel and resort commendable and enjoyed the facilities we provided to you and your family. With regards to your experience with our breakfast offerings, we truly value the opinions of our guests and appreciate the opportunity to address any concerns you may have. My wife and I enjoyed a one night visit as part of a gift from family. We stayed in a double room in the courtyard with a welcome bottle of wine on arrival. We spent a very lovely few hours in the Spa twilight garden experience. This included a glass of bubbly and use of all the spa facilities. It was spotlessly clean, and the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. We also used the Redmond's restaurant for an evening meal as well as a buffet breakfast - highly recommend. All in all a really enjoyable stay at a lovely hotel and spa.
