Excellent as usual, and the Spa Garden is always a joy! Restaurant service, food and staff amazing as we have come to expect.Stayed in a Courtyard Suite, which is very roomy and bathroom is excellent with a large bath and separate monsoon shower.
It really was night and day with the spa and hotel... the spa couldn’t have been more amazing, from the customer service we received, to the treatments and facilities. Lunch was ok, food very salty but staff very attentive and polite. However, unfortunately we can’t say the same for the hotel. The check in staff were polite and the room was spacious and clean (beds not comfortable) but it all could do with a little uplift compared to the spa. The real pain point for us was the restaurant (Redmonds) in which we had dinner and breakfast the following day. The service was the worst I’ve had in a long time... we ordered a £65 bottle of wine and the waiter didn’t know how to open the cork so we had to do it ourselves. The tables and glasses/cutlery could also do with an uplift for such an expensive restaurant. Duck wellington was ok and antipasti board good, but the steak had been doused in salt. We were reluctant to say anything but after both trying it and deeming it inedible (it really was THAT bad), we asked for it to be replaced really politely and were met with sullen and rude staff that weren’t apologetic, took 15 mins for a new one (a new medium rare steak shouldn’t take 15 mins) and then slammed it back onto the table. Breakfast was even worse, we spent 15 mins trying to catch someone’s eye to order breakfast and when we asked for some juice the rude attitude and looks we received from the waitress was horrendous and juice slammed on the table... we are not ones to complain but the service was really THAT bad that we felt compelled to warn others. If you can go for a spa day but skip the hotel, that would be our recommendation!…
The spa couldn’t be better and would definitely return, the hotel staff however (specifically the restaurant staff), were terrible, so we would recommend just going for a spa day and not staying over. The spa treatments were fantastic and general service in the spa was great. The restaurant food and service was extremely poor, with rude staff that weren’t interested in being there or helping (couldn’t even open a bottle of wine with a cork so we had to do it ourselves). A real shame as the spa vs the hotel experiences were night and day... but we would be back again to the spa, just avoid the hotel!
We was going to New York for my husband birthday then covid 19 hit, so we did a mini break to Carden Park and it was absolutely amazing will definitely would come back and bring the kids in the summer. We stayed in the studio and couldn't of asked for anymore
Family of 6- with 4 teenaged daughters. This is the 3rd Christmas break we have had at Carden park and it securely won’t be our last. Every moment is perfectly managed- food is sublime, leisure facilities are fantastic and the surroundings are beautiful. We had a trip to the new spa for a relaxing massage and it’s clear why it’s won awards in its first year of opening.
