Detailed Reviews
I was really looking forward to staying here whilst doing the WHW, however I was really disappointed for various reasons.
The welcome was non existent and then we struggled with dinner as the receptionist seem to make this difficult for us to have a table. The room looked nice however the shower didn’t work properly and when we filled the bath, the water was an odd colour and the water looked mouldy.
The food when we eventually got dinner was bland and they also couldn’t seat us until late for breakfast so they gave as a free pack lunch. The lunch had a hair in it so didn’t eat it.
Would not stay here again as the lack of customer service, poor food etc was not good.

Dear Madlizzie04, Thank you for taking your time to leave a feedback about your stay here at the Bridge of Orchy Hotel. I am disappointed to hear that you didn't have such a good time with us and didn't quite feel welcome - which is what we usually stand for. We require dinner as well as breakfast bookings, as most of the places nowadays, due to all our food being cooked to order and so that we can keep our level of service and quality. The water her on property has sometimes a yellowish colour due to the moor around us and the location of the well, however is perfectly safe to shower with and of course also to drink. I hope you are going to come again our way in future so we can show off the true welcoming and homely Bridge of Orchy experience. Best wishes,

Was walking the West Highland Way and was drenched so went in here to get out of the rain. The place was full of walkers sheltering, all soaked with rucksacks and poles and we were all made to feel very welcome and that we were not any trouble. Sat there for a long time keeping warm.
Went back again in the evening for a meal, great service.

By far the most amazing hotel we stayed at while doing the West Highland Way. We walked with our dog and arrived completely exhausted but recovered within seconds after the warm welcome we received at the reception. Our room was beautiful and especially picked for us to suit us with the dog. There were well accessible bins for poo-bags around nice green areas which makes a great difference (especially as we sometimes had to carry dogshit for up to 4 hours during the walk). The shower felt like the most amazing shower we have had in ages. The restaurant was fab too - great food, great presentation and super friendly staff.

We recently spent 2 nights at Bridge of Orchy Hotel and we were very impressed. Our room was very clean and well-furbished (and cleaned during our stay, which has become uncommon since the pandemic). Breakfasts were delicious and staff were helpful, friendly and professional. All areas of the hotel are pleasant and bright. There are two things I would like to highlight:
1. With its clientele and position, the hotel chef has to be prepared to cater for hungry walkers, which (s)he does very very well. However, (s)he also shows imagination and invention - our chicken dish and pork dish both went well beyond standard pub-grub. And when we experienced a (very short) delay, we were swiftly given a free sorbet to tide us over
2. As I said, the staff were excellent and showed clearly that they were well trained; but more than this, they were obviously happy in their jobs and proud of their work. This tells us that this is a happy, and therefore excellent, workplace.

You will receive an old fashioned highland welcome and hospitality, great food and it is 100% dog friendly. If you are camping they will allow you to dispose of your empty glass bottles in they’re glass recycling bin so they are environmentally aware and dedicated to saving the environment. Go for the stake sandwich it will blow your tastebuds away.

Stayed in an annex room on our tour of Scotland. Very welcoming check in and a lovely room. Very clean and modern. Restaurant was very busy which may have contributed to a mix up with our food when main course arrived before starters. Once we got to the mains, mine had obviously been kept under the heat lamps, and was very dry. My wifes fish was uncooked and raw inside the white batter. We pointed this out as the waiter collected our still full plates afterwards, but nothing was said, and we were still charged for the meals. Breakfast the next day was chalk and cheese. Different staff and attitude, eggs florentine was absolutely delicious. Checv out was efficient and friendly.

+1
We stayed here on night 4 of walking the west highland way.
I stayed in one of the rooms outside the main hotel and it was a fabulous little room.
Bottled water was waiting for me along with crisps and biscuits alongside the standard tea and coffee facilities.
The bed was large and comfy and just what I needed!
The bathroom had a great shower and had white company toiletries.
The room had sliding doors onto a decked area which slightly overlooked the car park but that didn’t distract from the view.
We had food in the restaurant which was great and breakfast in the morning was also good.
Great stop on the West Highland Way!

Spent a very nice peaceful weekend away from the drudgery of work as part of our wedding anniversary and was very impressed with the hotel and staff. There was plenty of snow on arrival but all the paths and access was well cleared and slip free.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful with the room being top class being very clean and warm on arrival. Bit windy this weekend, after all, Eunice was never going to ignore us completely although she was kinder here than other areas.
Food was really great, both evening meal and breakfast, and the beer good with the bar staff very attentive.
Attending in Feb it was cold out but the hotel no less inviting for that but can imagine during the summer this being an excellent location. A great planned stop on the west highland way if your a walker.
All in all, great wee stop and would recommend a visit if your looking for a relaxing break :)
