We do not usually write reviews but the farmhouse hotel was so good in all aspects from the quality of our room (superior double) which had super quality towels and dressing gowns + all the tea/coffee/ minibar facilities you would expect at such a quality hotel. Food was excellent throughout with a full range of breakfast options all cooked to order and we dined there in the evening twice as well. The big stand out for us was the quality of the staff and service we experienced. Particular mention to Cesar and Jeff at the bar who are great guys and really look after everyone so well (Fab mohitos) but ALL the staff were so friendly and attentive and really made the stay for us. We would love to come back sometime soon and highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel in a great location for the airport and an easy hop into St Peter Port (Bus stop directly outside)

The hotel is set in the peaceful countryside but is only minutes from the airport. It is combined with a quality restaurant which provides top class breakfast, lunch and dinner. The building is in old Farmhouse style and has only 14 rooms so guests feel very much at home and get first class service from the very friendly staff.
Our 5 day break here was over Christmas and the welcome, service and peaceful time spent there could not have been better. The food was excellent with a very large choice all served by staff pleased to to look after you.
Rooms are individually designed so worth discussing the type that is available but our junior suite was well fitted with a large bathroom and first class walk in shower.
The gardens are large and there is also a heated pool for summer activity. I have no negatives to write about this hotel.

I was invited to the Farmhouse Hotel for a meeting, arriving after everyone else had eaten lunch
In the middle of the afternoon, both bored and hungry, I wandered out to reception to see if they could find me something to eat.
Chef Danny happened to be there speaking to delightful Sophia, the receptionist.
I happened to say that I was starving and, without a second hesitation, was asked what they could do for me
Cut a long story short, 10 minutes later, a piping hot, delicious mushroom risotto was delivered to the meeting room, which I then savoured in front of my jealous colleagues
This was one of those dishes that I will remember for a long time
I cannot recommend the Farmhouse more for the quality of the food and the kindness and friendliness of the people working there

We booked in at the farmhouse for 7 nights as a minimoon. We chose this hotel over others as it looked peaceful and relaxing. When we arrived they staff were very welcoming and had made a lovely effort for us as we had just got married.

Unfortunately it was all downhill from there. The first evening the garden and pool area was packed from 5pm with locals attending what we later found out was a live music evening. This live music happened to be underneath our bedroom and it was so loud we couldn’t even hear the TV.

After complaining I was told this was a once a month event and we shouldn’t have any more issues. The next night we found out that the hotel was hosting a 150 person summer ball and there was no use of the outdoor facilities and again there was VERY loud music until 11.30pm.

The next morning my husband and I went down to complain, there was no recognition that paying £270 a night for hotel you expect peace and quiet and no apology that we were clearly upset and annoyed.

We decided at this point to leave the hotel and find alternative accommodation for the remainder of our stay. The hotel manager Graham made no attempt to make amends and even revoked the complimentary bottle of Prosecco they had given us as a congratulations. In his words “you are going to leave a bad review anyway so there is no point giving you the Prosecco”.

We feel truly ripped off and after seeing two other arguments at the front desk I don’t think we were alone.

So thank you Graham for your help and wonderful customer service, here is your bad review!

Winni on reception was amazing from the very start. We were celebrating our honeymoon, and couldnt of chosen a nicer a hotel to begin our gurnsey experience. A double bed was exactly that, not 2 singles pushed togther. The room was decroative and attention to detail with towel swans. Fruiet. Water. Busicuits. Mini bar. Flowers and a bottle of wine. Allen the bar man was fantastic at remembering the smallest of details. Anthony and his collegues in the resturant were all friendly, helpful and nothing ws too much trouble. The outdoor pool was still pleasent to swim in (1st week of October). Enjoyable trip.

What a fabulous stay; fantastic setting and facilities, wonderful staff and just superb food and hospitality. And it is the small details that matter; the staff were so unintrusively attentive and nothing was 'too much'.
The rooms are beautifully appointed and it is clear that the Farmhouse puts great store in cleanliness, maintenance of infrastructure and functionality. The bed was superb and i have not enjoyed such sound rest in a hotel in a long time.
The room-breakfast package is outstanding value and such a great way to start the day with 'to order' cooked breakfast and a great selection of continental options.
Just a superb stay in every respect that was over all too quickly.

Booked here for one week for our honeymoon and we checked out after two days.

We were directly above the bar, which on our first night was host to a couple of middle aged “singers”

The second night there was a function on and the disco woke us up.

Both nights we had to call reception to ask when the noise would end.

On our second morning we went to reception and said that we wanted to check out. The manager Graham is possibly the worst manager we have ever come across. He refused our complimentary bottle of Prosecco which we had been promised for our honeymoon because we had threatened him with a negative review! Graham needs to spend time on a customer service course because we have never experienced anything like it. Graham was also seen the evening before arguing with another guest who was unhappy.

We also spoke to another couple who were on their honeymoon and they had also complained about the music and when Graham visited their room he told them that different people have different thresholds.

The Farmhouse need to choose their market, they can’t be a luxury hotel, a function venue, and a bar/swimming pool for every Tom, Dick or Harry who wishes to drop in. We chose this hotel as we thought from the web site we could lounge by the pool, but this was not possible due to the pool party atmosphere that was occurring.

I have never checked out of a hotel early but at £270 per night we expect better than sleepless nights and dreadful customer service from a manager who refused to apologise.

We stayed here for 5 days in July. I was a bit dubious as his was a four star and normally we stay in 5 star places however there was no availability however was pleasantly surprised by the room in that it was spacious and very clean. Only downside to the room is that instead of normal curtains there are 2 sets that you have to try and figure out by different ropes and cords that when you get it they do not shut completely and let in a load of light which impacts your sleep. Bed was very comfy however we are in the middle of summer and the heaviest tog duvet is on the bed, they should swop to a summer one.

The main reason for the lower stars however is the speed or not of the staff! Most are friendly but most really don’t have a clue what they are doing when it comes to service! 4 mornings I asked for soft boiled eggs to which every morning I was asked how long should they cook them, now I know everybody does them different and that depends on the cooker you use and as I’m not the chef in their kitchen you would expect them to know. In 4 mornings I had one soft egg, the rest were hard and least time to wait was 15 mins and most was 30 mins when there was 2 other tables for breakfast, I am not sure how it can take that long other then when it come out it was hard boiled which then explains it! We ate in the bar and ordered a pizza one night and again that took ages to come.

It’s a shame as property has been renovated well and their garden was pretty and they have obviously invested a lot of money to do functions and weddings but if they could invest the same in some experienced staff then they could be on to a winner although I would prefer to pay the extra for a better stay.

I am just leaving the Farmhouse after what started as a 6 day break and ended up being 12 nights - I just could not leave! I cannot recommend the hotel, rooms, food, service, people and complete package enough - I leave feeling part of the family and will definitely be back. The breakfast, lunch and evenings by the pool and in the beautiful gardens topped off on a Sunday lunch/afternoon with music by Dennis and Sheena were fabulous and David’s natural ‘mine host’ ability and kindness, which is obviously infectious to his team, makes the whole experience first class. Also a big shout out to Jasmine whose organisation and manner sets the tone for the perfect Guernsey break - thanks to everyone at The Farmhouse

We have just enjoyed 2 great nights at this wonderful hotel. The room was delightful and so comfortable. The staff are friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them. Delicious food and an excellent a la carte menu. The morning started with a quiet swim in the hotel pool, followed by a tasty breakfast outside on the terrace, then a walk through the quiet and picturesque lanes. Lunchtime took on a different feel as the extremely talented singers, Sheena and Den entertained us for the afternoon as we tucked into a scrumptious seafood platter. We really felt like we were on holiday. I can’t recommend this enough and will certainly be back.

Even though the hotel is close to the airport you are not disturbed by the planes at all, it's a very peaceful area and the hotel gardens are great for relaxing.

Hi, I'm not sure, there was no evidence while we were there. I think the best approach is to speak to the Farmhouse direct. It is a lovely hotel and out in the country, suitable for pets. Best Paul
