Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed here with two friends and found this hotel wonderful on so many levels. Every member of staff was charming, helpful and appeared to enjoy whatever job they were doing. The rooms were quiet, well sized and with everything you could require. The prices in the room mini-bar were the same as the main bar, well done, that is most unusual. The restaurant had a very comprehensive menu and the items we had were excellent. We shall certainly be returning.

Second time we’ve stayed here. Very friendly welcome, junior suite on the ground floor, comfortable bed, nice lounge area and patio outside. Lots of TV channels including some Sky sports. Bath with shower over could do with an upgrade, but it all worked OK. Excellent breakfast, and they kindly gave us a late checkout as we we were going to a lunchtime party nearby. Plenty of parking with electric charging if you need it. Book direct as breakfast included. Will stay again if in the area.

Our stay was really enjoyable, from the moment of the warm and friendly welcome as we stepped into the reception. The room was was comfortable and spacious. The restaurant offered a good choice of very tasty food. Perhaps the most noticeable difference was the efficiency and friendliness of the team who really do deserve this good review, they were great.

This is a very nice hotel , very well kept and lovely grounds. We had a basic room again as only an overnight stay. Hotel is bigger then it looks and our room was at far end under the eaves of the conference centre. Large room, bigger then expected and so clean. The only off putting thing was the hospitality tray was in a short cupboard under the eaves and very dark in there so could not see inside very well. It also meant getting down onto knees to use as well. Husband banged head as well getting up! As we are now both getting on a bit - not a great thing! We had a terrific dinner in the restaurant - the best we had had in our week away but after being shown to our table by barman sat in the restaurant for over 10 minutes before being acknowledged by waiting staff . We did mention about the hospitality tray on checkout and a note was made about it plus we had a nice chat about this and that before we left. A nice stay in a very nice hotel.

Everything is great at The Hollies except for the showers. We stopped in a Luxury Suit and the plumbing was from the 1970’s. There is no head on the shower and the water is controlled by hot and cold taps. This aside it’s a really nice hotel. Food is good, service is good and hotel is really clean.

We came for a wedding and stayed for a week. It is an excellent base for exploring Somerset. The food was excellent and the staff appropriately attentive. Amanda, Michelle and Cinzia deserve special mention for making our stay memorable. Thank you Tom and Richard for an enjoyable holiday

My friend and I have just returned from a wonderful three night break at The Hollies We stayed in the two bedroomed apartment which was a delight. The hotel is excellent in every way from check- in to check - out. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are immaculate and the beds comfortable. The food is delicious, plentiful and nicely presented. Over- all excellent value for money. This was my second visit and I hope to return again in the future.

We had the great pleasure of staying at The Hollies. The cottage was called The Coach House, which has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private garden in which to relax, and a fitted and equipped kitchen in the living room of a size to promote envy. The hotel is the absolutely best place to stay for those arranging or participating in a wedding or event at one of the many superb venues in the area. The cottages are a short walk from the hotel itself, which houses staff with wings, chefs with rosettes, food with class, wines with pedigree, and stamps an indelible memory upon ones soul of having been a guest at somewhere very special.
