Carrol and Joe are the most charming hosts who delight in caring for you in their beautiful property which has views to die for. Their food is mouth-watering (with many home-made treats, including bread). The bedrooms are of the highest standard, with the full range of toiletries and thick fluffy towels. I've lost count of the number of times I've returned, taking friends with me too. I'd like to move in permanently because the area has so much to offer and you can have whole chunks of it to yourself, with nothing more than the sound of birds, bees and bleating. Highly recommended at this time of year are the amazing wildflower meadows at Muker. It's not too far to visit Ravenseat Farm for refreshments and see the family featured in Our Yorkshire Farm.

Thank you so much for this raving review, we are delighted that you enjoyed yet again your stay with us. We love to welcome returning guests as they soon become friends who we look forward to seeing, as much as they look forward to returning. Dentdale is a special place to many people who have discovered not only its beauty but wonderful location with easy access to both the Dales and Lakes, ideal for walkers, cyclists and indeed those in cars. We are grateful to you for taking the time to write a review and look forward to seeing you again in the future. Thank you!

Our third visit to this haven of peace and tranquility. Hosts Joe and Carrol are a wonderful couple, who will go over and above to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Our room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the fresh flowers, chocolates and bottled water were much appreciated. Breakfast here is still superb, with lots of cooked options available. It keeps you going all day! Situated in a beautiful Dale, the view from the lounge is stunning, and we enjoyed seeing the field opposite with it's ewes and new born lambs. Even the weather was brilliant for us! Cannot fault it, we've already got our next visit booked!

The weather was certainly a bonus, beautiful spring weather giving the new-born lambs a good start. Referring to your comments, we have the advantage of living in a beautiful location and I have the advantage of having a husband who loves cooking and serves tasty dishes for breakfast. The rest are just little extras to help you enjoy your stay. It is always a pleasure to have our guests return again and again and we are delighted that you have taken the time to write such a lovely review, thank you! We look forward to your next visit.

My wife had stayed here several years ago & raved about it so we though we’d stay for a couple of nights & walk a small section of the Dales Way which passes nearby. It’s easy to reach as it’s only a few miles from M6 J36. Our room was the Hayloft & was spacious & comfortable. Two good nights sleep was had. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The owners Joe & Carol were friendly & welcoming, even providing a space for my bike & a welcome cup of tea & scones including homemade lemon curd just as my wife remembered! Dent & Sedbergh are a short drive away. We’ll definitely be back again, hopefully when the weather is drier!

Thank you for taking the time to review our bed and breakfast, we really appreciate your feedback and we're pleased that you enjoyed your stay. For cyclists we are situated on the Dales-Lakes Loop and we are able to store bikes safely overnight. We hope that you will return one day when you can see Dentdale in the sunshine!

What a treat spending 2 nights in this luxury accommodation with the loveliest of hosts Carrol & Joe, who welcomed us into their beautiful home with genuine friendship . We were welcomed on arrival with tea, freshly baked scones and the BEST home made lemon curd that I have tasted!

We stayed in the Hayloft room which was perfect for us, plenty of room, beautiful views and the little extras like chocolates, fresh flowers and fresh milk for the selection of teas & coffees, made our stay extra special.

Of course everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were so tasty with lots of healthy choices to set you up for the day . Carrol & Joe are very knowledgeable about the local area and couldn't do enough for us to make our stay really enjoyable.

Fantastic place to come and enjoy a break. Very highly recommended. We are hoping to be back there as soon as possible. Thanks Carrol & Joe :)

My husband and I have just returned home from an amazing 4 nights stay at this outstanding B&B. From the moment we arrived we were blown by the place.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean with lovely touches, like fresh flowers in our room. We stayed in the 'Hayloft' and the view from the window was beautiful.I sat by the window each evening just admiring the scenery. Also, and very importantly, the bed was super comfy.

The variety and quality of breakfast options was the best we have ever experienced in a B&B. The only difficulty will be deciding what to choose, although you will not be disappointed with your choice. Everything is so tastey and well presented.

Our hosts, Carrol and Joe, must genuinely be two of the nicest people we have had the good fortune to meet. They really look after their guests and go above and beyond to make your stay a wonderful one. Nothing is too much trouble .

Thank you so much Carrol and Joe. You really are 'SIMPLY THE BEST'

After deciding to holiday in the Yorkshire this year and looked around for a cottage suitable for a disabled person and we chose Buzzard Cottage.
The owners were very helpful upon our arrival and any questions we asked were soon answered. We would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a base to explore the Yorkshire Moors. We done trips out to Whitby, Gretna Green, Ilkley, Goathland (the setting for Heartbeat) and Grassington (the setting for All Creatures Great and Small) so there is plenty to do whilst you there.

You certainly went on some great day trips from the cottage and managed to do so many things. We really appreciate that you have taken the time to write such a lovely and interesting review. The cottage is well situated for both the lakes and dales and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The ground floor bedroom with an ensuite shower room certainly provides easy access for a semi disabled person. With much appreciation to you all.

We have just returned home after a fabulous 2 night stay at this little gem.
Where shall I start, a pot of tea and homemade scones on our arrival, a delicious breakfast each day of our stay and an equally delicious packed lunch for our walk on the Monday. The care and attention to detail was second to none

Thank you Carrol and Joe you really took care of us.

Our hosts were very friendly and approachable with years of local knowledge and top tips. Full English breakfasts (and more) were superb and our packed lunches for the Dalesway walk ahead were 'made with love'. Carroll even rose to the challenge of providing for a gluten free diet very well.

We had lots of board games etc to keep us busy in the evening in the lovely living room with stunning views across the Dales. Everything was very clean and tidy including the garden patio.

Would highly recommend the The Old Craft Barn. Carrol & Joe are two of the most loveliest hosts you could ever meet, so friendly, took time out to speak to us for the two days we spent at their B&B, certainly is a 5 star service. My sister and I have just returned from a wonderful break at Buzzards cottage. So cosy and situated in the most beautiful area. We felt safe and secure in the current COVID 19 climate and took advantage of all the fantastic walks in the Dentdale valley and beyond. Thank you for a very warm welcome.

Thank you, your comments are much appreciated. The Covid has made us all more aware of our environment and we are pleased that you felt that the cottage had been hygienically prepared. It's situation again is ideal for staying away from the crowds and enjoying what the Dales have to offer.
