Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sunday lunch, not too the usual high standard, bland and lacking in taste. However the food is usually very good and we can all have a off day. We eat here frequently and can honestly say the food is good/very good. Enjoyed the occasion. Thank you

The food was very good once it arrived, although we had to wait for almost an hour for it to be served. Friendly staff, with a good choice of beers and a nice atmosphere. There’s a huge dog that seems to belong to the place who is also very friendly, but slightly disconcerting when you first arrive!

Since Dave and Kath have taken over the Seven Stars, it has gone from strength to strength! Wow, wow, wow! Super food, great, polite and pleasant staff and fabulous ranges of lagers and ales and a gin bar to boot. The interior decor is clean, tidy and tasteful. Outside there is a beer garden to the rear with 10/12 large round tables. Love my local! Love what it's become. We visited on 29 August 2023. 8 of us ate. We all had fantastic meals. Delicious, piping hot, consistent, awesome food,no great delays, service super friendly and an all round fantastic experience. I had the 7 stars Smashed burger as did a couple of others in our party. The burgers are made on site and are a generous portion. Attention to detail is absolutely everything. Well worth a visit! Fantastic pub and restaurant 👌

Unfortunately as a regular we have to leave 1 star, how on earth can they pick and choose the times they want to do food. We drove there and planned to eat, yes planned but they decided to stop food 1 hour 15 minutes earlier than the advertised time. How does this work, how can you plan to go out and they do this to their so called regular never mind visitors. We will now use the pub down the road for food and drinks.

We all had an excellent meal tonight . 4 of the group had cheese and onion pie with proper home made chips and I had roast beef dinner. It was superb. The service was spot on and the food was reasonable priced . We visit every month as a family group and not had a bad meal yet.

Came here for a late lunch with my mum. Great choice of locally made gins, friendly young girl behind the bar and lady who served us food was excellent. Nice friendly pub atmosphere too. The food!! Well.. I can’t describe in words how tasty it was. Portion was massive but as soon as I tried it I knew I couldn’t leave any! We both had steak and ale pie, mum had chips I had mash with mine. Chips were proper home made chips, mash was to die for, the pie was beautiful, again 100% homemade, tender steak, gorgeous rich pastry and even the veg was perfect. Never had a pie like it honestly. Can’t wait to come back! Probably tomorrow lol

Tagliatelle went down very well too and the butterfly chicken beautiful and tasty. Can't wait for a return visit.

Lovely food, great staff and service. Good value for money and good portion sizes. Highly recommended. Slight mix up with the order but staff went out of their way to correct it. Also very busy when we were there. So good we went back next day.
