Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

booked 3 rooms to attend a family wedding, the staff were super helpfull in organising a ground floor room for the old folks. allowed us to check in early and out late at no extra cost. Rooms were super clean and warm. All the staff could not be more helpful. Breakfast was fast hot and very very tasty with lots of local produce. The only downside was that we never got to sample the evening menu as the smells from the kitchen were gorgeous, but we will be back to sample them.

The old white man-made very disparaging remarks about me to the chef in the kitchen about my physical appearance and food choices at breakfast which I could easily overhear. I felt humiliated and intimidated as a solo traveller and left immediately. I would not feel comfortable staying there alone again with him there.

We just had a one night stay here and absolutely loved it. We had a booking in April but unfortunately had to reschedule, the staff were very kind and let us move to a date of our choice. Such a beautiful cosy room, with everything you could need. Best night sleep I’ve had in ages in the comfiest bed, plus an excellent and large shower. Little touches like having an adjustable vanity mirror on the dresser and a little chocolate each with a fresh bottle of water waiting for us were much appreciated! We didn’t stay for breakfast as had plans but it was included in the price which we thought was very affordable given what a perfect room we had. We have recommended to our friends who we were visiting for them to suggest to any future visitors!

We had a lovely stay here for a wedding nearby at Eaves Hall. Our room was nicely furnished with all the regular facilities plus an iron and board. Enquiries prior to and on arrival were quickly and professionally dealt with. Great, piping hot, full English breakfast on Sunday set us up for the day. Would definitely return if visiting the area again.

What a beautiful place. The night we arrived, we had a meal in the restaurant and it was truly divine. They literally couldn’t do enough for you. They catered for everything. The food was divine (chef, you are the poached egg legend!). The accommodation was so cute and cosy. Again, everything you needed was there….even the consideration of supplying decaff tea and coffee in the rooms. Best 2 nights sleeps in any hotel I’ve stayed at. Was also lovely to sit out in the decking area late into the night (especially with how hot it’s been). Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. The staff were so welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

My partner and I visited The Three Millstones for the first time on Saturday evening. The whole meal was delicious. Three courses, soup, fruit cocktail, breakfast salad, roast chicken, and sorbet. We will be back very soon to try other dishes on the menu. Thank you.

Really excellent place to stay, ( We stayed Friday 21/7/23) Several new rooms with huge clean shower room and very large TV. The food was excellent ( I had the best pork belly with apple sauce ever.) The bed was huge and very comfortable. The hotel is nicely situated for heading off in different directions. The staff were really lovely, attentive and helpful. Definitely one to visit again.

Staff couldn't have been more helpful for a late same day booking. A beautiful hand pulled pint served as a nightcap... Excellent breakfast cooked to order... Beautiful location in Ribble Valley convenient for Clitheroe. The room was a tasteful refurbishment within the roof space of a Grade Listed Building.

We stayed 2 nights for a family wedding held at Eaves Hall. A more convenient location would be hard to find! The room is spacious, clean and modern, huge comfortable bed, usual facilities etc. The bathroom is large and a wet room style. Again, modern and clean. Breakfast was excellent, plentiful, a good choice and service excellent. Overall, a very happy stay in a beautiful location.
