I loved that the room had a kitchenet which gave me more freedom of not having to go out for all meals. the patio was also nice to use. The location right on the union canal and the lakes is lovely. Big terrace on the canal to sit on when the weather was nice. lovely host. Really recommend.
Stayed on Saturday night after having to postpone trip previously, Justine was so helpful in rearranging for us, we stayed in the Annex which had everything we needed, was beautifully clean and cosy, bed was super comfy with lovely linen. Breakfast was very tasty with high quality ingredients, would love to return in the future
Stayed for two nights prior to my wedding, Justine could not have been more helpful and professional. I Stayed in the annex and it was delightful 😊 the room was very comfortable and had everything you needed. Breakfast was great and as a coffee drinker the coffee is superb. Justine did an amazing job for us when we returned on our wedding night with Rose petals across the bed champagne and flowers. Would not hesitate in staying again and you will not be disappointed in choosing the Springwell barn as a place to stay. Thank you once again Justine for every thing, see you next year
The room was clean and comfortable and perfect for a night away. Justine made us feel very welcome and The Annexe had everything that we wanted. Shower and bathroom were excellent. The breakfast the next morning was delicious too. Lots of choice of nearby restaurants pubs with the Coy Carp being highly recommended.
We stayed in the annexe room, perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Justine was very welcoming and explained all we needed to know, left us alone but just opposite and helpful when we needed her. Breakfast was fabulous and there were no skimpy portions! The b&b is situated on the canal, with beautiful gardens and plenty of seating. We can't wait to return, and hopefully for longer!
Highly recommend this home from home; Springwell barn is such a wonderful place to stay. Spotlessly clean, all home comforts and nothing too much trouble to Justine. Close to Harry Potter yet superbly peaceful in this lovely location by the canal. Nice walks nearby and so many places to eat too! Day two we had planned an adventure into London which is an easy journey by train or underground from Rickmansworth. In under an hour we were on an open top bus seeing the sights!
We spent a delicious week end here, the place is absolutely spotless, clean, fantastic qualities, finishings, cosy, nice and comfortable. Justine and her husband made us feel at home. The location is excellent for water sports and walks. We will certainly go back. Thank you.
We've stayed at Springwell Barn a few times now when visiting our daughter and son-in-law. It's in a lovely spot at the side of the canal with scenic walks all around yet still with easy access to London from Rickmansworth. Justine makes us feel really welcome and provides a great breakfast of your choice which is such a change from an anonymous hotel breakfast. The rooms are spotless and comfortable and there are plenty of games and activities, inside and out. We played a good few hours of pool and table football while we waited for the sun to reappear. A great place for families or couples. Nothing too much trouble.
We stayed at this lovely converted barn for three nights. The property is tranquil, bedroom and en suite was spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly hosts. Breakfast outstanding with option for vegetarian. Sat by the canal to read magazines and borrowed the hosts canoe to paddle downstream to lovely tearoom (had to carry boat out at locks so quite a physical task). Lovely walks near property and plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby.
Stayed for 1 night and loved every moment, will come again, thank you Justine. Breakfast was fab, fulfilling. Catered for vegetarian breakfast nicely. Good selection of reading material and some activities like board games, snooker, table football, carom board! Boredom would not be an issue. Hospitality felt warm & very welcoming. Great experience. Thank you once again, Justine 😘
