Booked for three nights for a friend to stay here. She was delighted with the whole experience. The room was immaculately clean, and the bed was huge and really comfy. Everything you needed was either in the room ar readily available. The staff are polite and really helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. I joined her breakfast each morning... More

We stayed at Peel Hay as we were attending a wedding in Thorton Manor. Guest house was good very friendly helpful owners and staff. Rooms comfortable although we were up in the eves and made the room feel cramped. But clean and comfortable beds. Bit far if you want to visit the city and don't have a car and require... More

Had a lovely afternoon tea in the conservatory with my mum. The interior of the hotel is of a high standard, we were warmly welcomed from the outset and nothing was too much to ask for. The sandwiches and cakes were beautiful, fresh and tasted divine. Highly professional and polite staff. Highly recommended to anyone.

Wonderful intimate venue. I went for a funeral gathering; it was very enjoyable. Afternoon tea laid in was very pleasant and the marque the celebration was in was adequate in terms of space for circa 30 guests. Didn't go in main building however on looking through windows it did look very welcoming

Lovely afternoon spent with friends for afternoon tea. We were offered endless tea and coffee served with our platter of choice of sandwiches brown or white bread and offers of many delicious fillings.. I chose chicken bacon with Caesar dressing and my friends chose ham and chutney and coronation chicken. After we devoured the bottom layer we moved to scones... More

Walking in for our first night I thought that Peel Hey could potentially be in line for 5 stars. One thing that would have been really helpful would have been to tell us when we booked that we would be in an attic bedroom with low ceilings and lots of stairs, an attractive small room but the stairs were a... Well the title says it all really. We chose Peel Hey for our wedding for several reasons - the marquee, the intimate venue with the personal touch, from recommendations, but it even surpassed what we had imagined! Prior to the wedding date, the staff at Peel Hey were very receptive to our endless emails checking on this and asking for... More

Everyone at the B&B will do their best to provide what you need and help with any change even if you are asking breakfeast much earlier. Always with a smile... The owner , Ken, gives more tan information with the routes and shows the nicest attitude in every field. Nice to be there...

We booked to stay at the Peel Hey a good 7 / 8 months in advance. It was a fantastic location for an event we were attending and came recommended. It didn't start very well when, a few months after booking, someone from Peel Hey rang me to ask if we would consider staying in a different hotel. I declined... More

We visited here on Monday for a family wedding. We were treated to a fantastic afternoon tea. There was lots of food all beautifully presented. A wide selection of delicate sandwiches and lots of other little savouries. Then a selection of cakes that's were small bite size so you could try everything. The tea and coffee was plentiful and served... More
