Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was treated to a romantic evening here by my husband & it was such a gem! Nice to be able to unwind in comfortable & spacious rooms with all the amenities you could need. Staff on reception were so welcoming and gave the place a warm feel. We loved the bar & restaurant - lots of variation & veggie options for me! Staff here were super friendly even though it was really busy. Beds were really comfy & the pool area was spotlessly clean & well kept. Breakfast was a big hit too & we’re planning on bringing the kids when we come back next time as they will love it & we can book a family room. Prices aren’t too high which is rare for a hotel this good! Would highly recommend & will be staying again!

Stayed here too attend a wedding at a near by venue. The hotel was easy to find and ideally situated off the A41, we received a warm welcome on arrival and we were quickly booked into our room. Room was clean, spacious with a comfy bed. Breakfast was ok... We had the English breakfast from the buffet which tasted good but wasn't very hot.... However the service was very good and staff were lovely. The bar and grill was again welcoming and the food was very nice - its also a great place to watch the football!!! Overall more than happy with our stay and its value for money..... we will definitely be back at some point in the future. Peter Liverpool

We really enjoyed as a family in the pool with our 11 and 3 years old child. Also, Steam bath and sauna was amazing, which was near the pool and it was east to access for us. They booked an amazing big family room and comfortable beds and pillows. On the other hand environment and natural beautiy is perfect. Family friendly hotel ,we were so happy to be there.

After years of living away, The Village proved to be a great place to stay when we travelled down from the Scottish Highlands to see family on the Wirral. Great amenities, the comfiest beds ever, and a tasty breakfast every morning. Thanks to Peter, Gemma, and the rest of the staff for pushing the boat out and making our stay so memorable.

Not a great hotel tbh, much better pricing and service from a local budget hotel. Prices very expensive, would have been better to purchase a pay later room and cancel and re-book, if we had done that we would have saved over £50 including having breakfast thrown in.... Is it worth an extra £100 odd just to use a pool? nope... was expecting a lot more from this hotel to wow us, which did not. Rooms could have been better with noise cancelling walls, as you could hear everything outside.. bathroom and room as dirty with dust. and the room its self was hot with no temperature control. would probably not book again, unless there was an incentive to do so.

Dear andy-p-12345678, Having completed a post stay survey, along with your online hotels.com review, we are sorry again to hear of your unfortunate stay.
