Detailed Reviews
This place is absolutely fantastic! Thoroughly recommend it. We stayed a night in the hay loft - super clean, comfy and great decor. Wish we could've stayed longer. The breakfast brought to our room was such a treat - freshly baked croissants, freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit, yoghurt, bread and cereal. All served in gorgeous pottery! Great location - really peaceful and 5 mins walk from Milford where there is a great selection of restaurants. Will be recommending it to all my friends!

My mum and I took part in the 3 day pottery course and cannot rate it high enough! We were greeted by Dave as soon as we pulled in on the first day and from then on felt right at home at VHP.
Dave showed us lots of demos and was so patient and helpful throughout the course. We were given free rein of our own wheel and had time in between demos (on how to make cylinders, bowls, plates, handles and much more!) to make whatever we liked with Dave always on hand to save any wobbles. The raku was especially exciting and really hands on.
Fresh warm cake was provided with coffee breaks and at lunch we were greeted by the lovely Midge who had made fantastic home cooked lunch's (veggie dahl curry and lemon posset were my faves!) The pottery is in a quiet location and a car is needed but the quaint feel made it all the more charming... and the sun shone all weekend. Just a 5 minute drive from the coast, it is a lovely place for a break away.

This was a four-night trip: one adult staying in" Rosie", the wonderful antique gypsy caravan in the garden, and two adults with two small children in the large double with their own bathroom. We also had a living room (with TV) which absolutely made our stay as it was great to relax after long days out during unexpectedly excellent weather. Lucy and Dave were extremely helpful. Continental breakfast was brought to us at a time of our choice. Everything was spotless and the location was great for us. Free parking. "Rosie" is beautiful and gets warm very fast with the efficient heater. Lovely little velvet curtains keep it private. Only one of us was in there and if a couple were to choose it, they'd have to be very tidy and organised as it's not large. Very comfortable mattress and attractive, subdued lighting, one lamp being a pretty antique. I'd venture that it's perhaps not too suitable for very elderly people. The bathroom, which is exclusive to the caravan, is across the courtyard (there's an outside light and a big torch in the caravan) but in fact we all shared the indoor bathroom that goes with the big double as it was more convenient. Many thanks to Lucy and Dave for a lovely stay!

We stayed here on the 20th June for one night. Nice accommodation but could benefit from a few extras to make it shine. We could not believe that there was not a tv in the accommodation, a very basic every day item, we do not go on holiday with a laptop and found this strange and not good if due to bad weather you have to stay in room. However room clean, comfy bed and continental breakfast was nice, tea, coffee and cereal due to current situation should not really be in canisters in room for each visitor to use, individual boxes would be much better.

We stayed in The Garden Room suite, which is accessed through the Gallery. The rooms were clean and interestingly decorated. Sound carries clearly from The Hayloft bedroom above and outside security lights flash intermittently throughout the night, lighting up the bedroom. Breakfast is fresh but limited; there is no cooked breakfast offered.

Pros: Nice room, lots of room. Very clean. The staff are super friendly.
Cons:
When we arrived there was no one to greet us, no key, we had to call to have someone come to give us the key. The owner wanted to charge us £15 for a "child" fee after we paid for 2 adults and 1 child at the agreed rate. We refused, but this was a bit annoying.
The noise was very loud from the guests staying above our bedroom. The flooring is very thin and there are even signs warning the guests on the top and bottom floor to keep the noise down. This was particularly hard to deal with even when wearing earplugs.
The heat turned off at 9am and did not turn on again until about 9pm. We had to ask for the heat to be left on. Breakfast is continental style, no hot breakfast served.

We had a fantastic 3 days with Dave and great bunch of other wannabe potters. Dave is very skilled and very patient with us all. The three days was good as it took us through the whole process of potting and we came away with some pots. we are now awaiting the bowls and dishes we made which they will finish off for us.
Milford on Sea is also a foody paradise with plenty of choice to eat and relax in the evening.
A truly great 3 days and would highly recommend.

Lovely place to stay, minutes from some great eateries and drinking holes, and the beach of course. Beds really comfortable, Garden room warm and spacious, continental breakfast par excellence. What's not to like. Would be a dream in the summer months as the room comes with patio area and seating shared with the Gypsy wagon.

Stayed for two nights in the delightfully friendly Lucy & Dave’s clean and tastefully fitted ‘Hay Loft’ accommodation, up the spiral staircase into a warm, cosy haven with everything you need supplied. Heavenly cumfy bed - scrummy warm croissants & wonderful home-made marmalade with breakfast. Thoroughly recommendable.
