Situated in beautiful countryside, less than five miles from Dunblane, Cromlix is set in 34 acres of secluded woodlands and garden, with an attractive trout loch. The hotel has undergone extensive refurbishment and is now under new management. The property comprises of 10 bedrooms and 5 suites, a chapel, reception hall, two drawing rooms, conservatory, dining room, library and meeting rooms. The refurbished Cromlix boast a Chez Roux restaurant offering fine dining using locally sourced produce. The hotel is managed by Inverlochy Castle Management International (ICMI), who already manage eight other renowned independent properties around Scotland, including Inverlochy Castle, near Fort William, Greywalls Hotel in Gullane and The Atholl, in Edinburgh. ICMI's group of industry experts includes Albert Roux OBE, KFO, owner of La Gavroche in London, the first UK restaurant to be awarded three Michelin Stars. Accommodation at Cromlix: Cromlix has 10 bedrooms and 5 suites, each with their own individual design and character. With wonderful views out across the grounds and surrounding countryside, the rooms facilities include 32 inch televisions, personal safe, i-pod docking stations, radio, complimentary Internet access and DVD players available upon request. The elegant house, enchanting gardens and stunning location make Cromlix a truly wonderful venue for weddings, private and corporate events. The house provides an impressive backdrop and a variety of spaces including our Garden Room, The Study, the Library and the historic family Chapel make it ideal for a wide range of group types and sizes. Only a short drive from Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow, Cromlix provides a stunning rural setting for short leisure stays as well as private functions, weddings and corporate events. The Study on the first floor overlooking the lawn can provide the setting for a meeting or private lunch/dinner. The smaller and more intimate of our spaces, the room can comfortably seat 10 people on one table. The Library also on the first floor is a magnificent room with stunning views of the lawn on one side and the woodlands and drive on the other side. With its stunning open fire and high wooden ceiling The Library can seat 24 boardroom style on a high table that sits over our full size snooker table. The Garden Room on the ground floor is again a beautiful room with view over our lawn and can comfortable seat 20 for a meeting or up to 30 for a dinner. The Drawing Room on the ground floor is one of our public lounges with a large bay window and open fire. We are able to turn this room into a private meeting room. Light and airy and the largest of our rooms.

WOW. As always a visit to Cromlix does not disappoint. Just had lunch and as always the staff, the service and the food was outstanding. Loving the new decor which has really lifted the ambience of the place. Thanks again Cromlix Team for looking after us and to Jason for letting us see the Chapel.

This is a really difficult review to write. Cromlix is lovely, the food is absolutely incredible (except the eggs Benedict, possibly the worst I’ve ever eaten), the decor is stunning, the staff are great and the gardens beautiful. But…it’s boring. I actually feel bad saying it, but it is boring. It needs a pool, or a gym, or a spa, or a second bar, or a second restaurant, just some variety. Without these it’s a one night kinda place. It’s hard to compare to similarly priced hotels such as Gleneagles as they’re completely different, but it’s also difficult not to and on this occasion Gleneagles wins hands down on price. Almost every order we made, either at the bar or in the restaurant something seemed to go missing or be wrong. The renovations are great but the best way I can describe it is that they haven’t yet found the ‘flow’ of the hotel. As I mentioned at the start, it’s a hard one. It’s truly lovely but we wouldn’t rush back.

We had a wonderful staff at Cromlix. The staff are brilliant and so friendly and helpful. The interiors are beautifully done and attention is paid to every single detail. Amazing shower too- we stayed in honeysuckle! Would highly recommend.

The most magical and unique experience in a stunning setting. The interior design is sensational and will have you admiring the attention to detail as well as the beautiful artwork. The food is out of this world. The staff complete the whole experience with the ‘nothing is too much trouble’ approach. You are spoilt the minute you walk through the door and leave feeling totally relaxed and ready to book again. Highly recommend for both couples and families. We can’t wait to take our children there in the summer.

My husband booked Afternoon Tea at Cromlix as a surprise for my 60th. What a beautiful venue, fabulous food and excellent service from attentive, friendly staff. We enjoyed a very relaxing afternoon in the Glass House. I would recommend this venue for any celebration.

Just an overnight stay for my birthday arranged by my lovely husband. I can't praise this hotel enough. From the moment we were welcomed at check in by Sharon, Shona and Richard till the moment we left we were treated amazingly. The Chef even made me a birthday cake? Our dog, Fergie, was also warmly welcomed and Shona even offered to keep him with her at the desk while we had dinner. I can't wait to visit again.

Feel like the Lord & Lady Grantham for a few days of utter bliss and joy. We checked in for 3 days, parents and 3 boys aged 23, 21 & 16. The rooms are beautifully appointed and large. Every detail is considered. Superb food and outstanding service at all times. We had two fantastic day tours with Emma and Bill on one day, and then just Bill the next day. We visited Glencoe and surrounds on day one, and St Andrews area the next. Brilliant tour guides and excellent vehicle. Organised by the hotel. We had a foraging experience as well with guide Lauren who walked us through the woods where we smelt, tasted and felt various plants. Was a lovely adventure. Cannot rate the Cromlix more highly. Magnificently decorated. Lovely team of service and waitering staff. It’s owned by tennis player Andy Murray and his wife. You get his granny’s recipe shortbread each day in your room. Delicious.
