What a lovely place! Beautifully decorated in an authentic style and set amid stunning scenery. So cosy with the wood burning stoves and, although I’m not Vegan, the food was absolutely delicious! Susan and Gary are great hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend a night or three in this fabulous B n B.

The B&B is located in a wild and dramatic setting, high in the heather-clad mountains, beside a fast-flowing stream, and with wide views down the Drumochter Pass. It is hard to believe that you are, in fact, between the A9 road and the main Highland railway line. We could not have received a warmer welcome from Susan and Gary. They gave us plenty of useful information about walks in the area and stories about the history of the Balsporran cottages. The vegan breakfast was generous, imaginative and delicious, as were the optional evening meals, which we enjoyed in front of the log fire. We would happily have stayed longer.

I stayed at Balsporran B&B for one night as I cycled from Lands End to John O Groats, it was by far the best stopover so far. Susan and Gary are exceptional host's, the room was superb and the food was delicious. If you get the chance to stay there, take it. You will not be disappointed.

Where to begin with... The kindest and caring hosts, the amazing and delicious food (100%vegan!!), the superb location (surrounded by nature and next to the rails of the trains!), the spotless room (beautifully decorated), the cosiest bed EVER (everything the mattress, the duvet... All perfect), the cleanest bathroom I've ever seen (like from the decoration catalog magazine) ... It was truly a shame I couldn't spend more time there... But Next time, bc I need to stay another time at Balsporran. What a wonder on earth.

We stayed just one night but Susan and Gary were super nice. The B&B is extremely cosy and well maintained, we enjoyed our stay a lot. When I messaged ahead to ask where I could find a birthday cake, as it was my partners birthday Susan took it upon herself to bake us a lovely cake and put up decorations! If we get the chance we'll definitely stay here again!

Balsporran is a lovely small B&B located in the most amazing location in the heart of the Cairngorms and quite literally two minutes from the A9. The excellent location is only rivalled by the wonderful welcome from the hosts Susan and Gary. From the moment we arrived Susan and Gary were the friendliest and most welcoming hosts you could hope for - they made us feel so welcome and could not do enough for us. Our room was cosy and very clean and have a wonderful southerly view across the mountains. There was a nice en-suite shower room with plenty of toiletries and fresh towels. Although it’s a B&B, Susan and Gary have a great option for dinner - by offering a hot bowl of chilli / curry or some other options depending on what Susan has cooked - we were in a for a treat as we had Channa Daal - it was lovely and very flavoursome, and all plant based. We were served dinner in the guest sitting room which gave us the chance to chat with some other guests. We had a great night’s sleep and were welcomed in the morning to another wonderful plant-based feast - there was plenty of cereals, fruits, yoghurts, followed but a full cooked breakfast - and all plant based. Again, the food was thoroughly delicious and so very tasty. We also opted for a prepared packed lunch - which was ready straight after breakfast and was again wonderful, including some home-made muffins. Overall, this is one of the loveliest B&Bs we have stayed in with amazing plant based food. Thoroughly recommend…

We ran a bit late and arrived quite late in the evening, but Gary was willing to stay up a bit later for us (sorry about that!). The rooms were beautiful, like staying in a luxury hotel, and despite the dreary weather the location was very special. Breakfast was served at a large table with the three other guests, which was lovely. We had a nice chat with the other guests and enjoyed the amazing food. Susan is a great chef and while everything was vegan it was very diverse and everything tasted great. Best breakfast of our vacation!
