What a beautiful village and hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by the room as it wasn't expensive. The rooms are all in a little annex and were beautifully clean and comfortable. Due to Covid rules we could only eat and drink outside but there is a perfectly good marquee, heated and comfortable. The food and staff are outstanding and we were made very welcome and felt very safe from a covid standpoint, hand sanitiser on every table and in the rooms. The village is beautiful and the people so friendly. I would have no issues giving a 5 but for 2 issues. The large TV in the room didn't work (guessing this was because the hotel sky is off due to not being able to broadcast ) It would have just been nice to be told this, and no remote. We booked a table for dinner and the food was amazing, plentiful and great value for money. I asked if we had to book in for breakfast and was told it was between 9 and 10, given the prices and we looked forward to it the next morning only to find out that everything was locked up and no breakfast available. Again because of covid restrictions this would not have been a problem if they had just said no the night before. We will 100% be back here later in the year it is not a part of Wales we have visited before and we have fallen in love with it , thanks for having us :-)

Stayed for 2 nights to climb Snowdon and visit the surrounding area. Asked waitress if they were doing burger and a pint for £10. After asking us what day it was she said yes so we ordered pint and burger and had a bill for £30 for 2 people. Apparently the fairy halls burger isn’t included in the deal but we weren’t told despite asking about the deal! Room was average but very clean which is very reassuring at this time. The bed was comfy. Very loud at night- you could hear the person in the above room snoring and people getting up at 5am ish to start their day. Mountain view leaves a little to be desired - you look out onto the car park with a very minimal mountain view afar! Breakfast not included - you could pay to add it but they didn’t start serving until 9am so if you want a relatively early start to climb etc you can’t get breakfast here.

Booked this place as a last minute thing. Was doing a road trip of north wales and it was near a long list of waterfalls we wanted to visit. For the price of the rooms it’s a bargain. Nothing flash don’t get me wrong but clean and comfortable. Can even small the cleaning chemicals on the menu which in the current climate shows they are trying hard to protect. Staff went the extra mile honestly so welcoming. Food was good nice to find a mixed grill with something like liver on to mix things up a bit! Yum yum. Overall fantastic for the price. If you want 5 star go and pay double. One negative is the shower is absolutely pants lol regulars, staff, location, and price all bang on. Highly recommended and I’d stop again

Helpful staff whilst booking. We took our two large dogs with us for an evening meal and there was plenty of space and lots of other dogs there too. We were made to feel welcome and the staff addressed me by name. Unfortunately on the evening we attended there was an issue with the water supply so no mixers or water were available but eventually a rather nice cocktail was produced. I had a portobello mushroom burger which was lovely however I was not keen on the wood it was served on as clearly it had been used most likely for meat burgers in the past and this does not fit with me being a vegetarian. I didn’t eat the base of the burger just the top and middle, the chips were in a basket and the coleslaw in a bowl so were not touching the wood. I don’t understand why restaurants use wood to serve vegetarian and vegan food when they clearly are also used for meat but as they were so nice I didn’t complain. We had a lovely evening having walked upto fairy falls waterfall before dinner. We would have stayed longer but left earlier due to the lack of mixers/water which meant my other half couldn’t have a soft drink and I couldn’t have my choice of drink. It’s a rural place and I do understand that this was a village problem but I was surprised no one had driven to the nearest village (10min drive) and bought some bottles of mixers. I would go there again and would recommend this as a nice place to eat or visit for a drink and they are welcoming friendly and chatty and we enjoyed our meal.

Room Tip: Personally I would ask for my food to be served on a plate rather than a bit of old wood…...

Spent a night here to save a long journey the following day. Check is was flawless, huge comfortable room. The pub has a great atmosphere, staff are very attentive and the food was great. If you are planning on visiting I definitely recommend booking as unfortunately the staff had to turn a number of people away due to being fully booked. They happily recommended a number of other options which is refreshing. I will definitely be returning. Thanks for a great experience

We stayed for 2 nights and very much enjoyed our stay. Dog friendly so we could bring our little dog which we really appreciated. Pub is in a lovely location, right next to the river, and the village is very pretty with the Fairy Falls waterfalls a short walk away. Food in the pub was excellent as was service, it is nicely done and a nice place to sit for a meal, we ate there both nights. Our room was very large, nice and warm, plenty of hot water, bed massive and very comfy, plenty of tea and coffee in the room, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was nice but depending on what you order a little expensive as priced at £10 flat rate - if you want a full English it's good value, if you prefer something lighter not so much. A couple of negatives that influenced the 4 rather than 5 star - the shower didn't work very well, the room was quite dark and would have benefitted from some additional lighting or a different ceiling light fitting, a tray for the tea/coffee bits would be good, and breakfast only available between 9-10 so not so good if you want to be away early. But overall we enjoyed our stay, would recommend and would return!

This was a lovely find, it’s a great hotel, and the rooms are very spacious and clean, there’s a sports bar with 2 pool tables and large TVs all around, the beer was spot on, and doom bar was an amazing price of £3:50 a pint 😳 which truly is fantastic in my opinion, if you don’t want the sports bar atmosphere , there’s a lovely bar in the main body of the hotel which is adjoining to the main restaurant, the bar snacks were fantastic and well priced. My advice would be to have the “pork belly bites” which are large and plentiful, scampi was gorgeous, and homemade chips, were huge and fluffy, onion rings were huge, light and crispy, Very good value for money all in all. . However, there’s one thing that I still can’t get my head round, and that’s breakfast. My wife don’t eat breakfast. She just wanted a bit of toast, the bloke told us that if we want brekky we could use the cafe over the road or the hotel, so we went to go to the cafe over the road but it had a sign on the window saying “private function”. So we went back to the hotel. We sat down and asked us if we’d booked, but we hadn’t. But she said no problem as not that busy, I’ll go find the chef. After a short look at the menu, we ordered. We had 1 coffee, 1 tea, 2 toast, (2 slices cut triangular) and a bacon and cheese omelette. The omelette was great but the price wasn’t. That came too £17. Which I thought must of been a mistake. But it don’t look like it was. All in all a superb hotel, and great value for money….. but don’t have a breakfast in the hotel, it’s the opposite of the rest of the hotel for value…extortionate is the word. But everything else was A1. Top notch. And great value!.

This place is absolutely worth the money paid. I stayed with my 11yo daughter and our dog for 2 nights. Fairy falls is a 4 minute walk and there is also a lovely park 2 minutes away. We also visited betws y coed, 12 minutes drive.
The food was fantastic, large servings and very good quality. We were booked in for breakfast today and it turned out we were the only people booked in. They opened up just for us, considering it probably cost more for them to open than the £15 we paid for breakfast, it was lovely of them to put the customer first. The owner/manager was absolutely accommodating and even asked our opinions on making the rooms better. She seemed genuinely interested in making it as comfortable as possible for guests.
Our room was clean and tidy and perfect for what we needed it for.
I paid £150 for 2 nights and it was definitely worth the money. Thank you.

We met up with friends for the first time since lockdown. Went for a lovely walk Lake Crafnant and then finished the day with a fabulous meal. Four of us had beer battered cod and chips, large fresh fish which was lightly battered with chunky chips and mushy peas...delicious. One friend had the fish pie which came with chunky chips again delicious and lastly another friend had fillet steak with pepper sauce, thick piece of steak so tender and succulent. All very reasonably priced. The service was great very friendly and efficient. We will certainly be returning and can highly recommend Fairy Falls.

We had a lovely stay the rooms are spotless clean the only thing missing for me was a hairdryer. The rooms are separate from the pub and a really good size.

We couldn’t eat in the pub as they had to close after having a Covid case.

We paid extra for breakfast £7.50 per person but the quality was excellent.
We really enjoyed visiting the falls 5 minutes away. Would definitely stay again when we are in the area.

Depends where you want to go; about 10 minutes drive to Betws y Coed or 20 to Conwy, probably about 30 mins to Pen y Pass and access toSnowdon itself and another 10 minutes will see you in Llanberis for the mountain railway and 'electric mountain'. Google Earth is useful for local attractions and calculating distances
