Unpretentious yet the highest quality service at this 150 year old hotel. Lindsey is a gracious proprietor, always available to assist or answer any question. My room was a very nice size with a comfortable bed and all necessary bathroom necessities. The breakfast (included with the room) was quite generous and delicious. Dinner, served by friendly staff, in the restaurant was creative and also very good. It’s situated in a location to access many spots in North Wales and Eryri (Snowdonia). I enjoyed my stay immensely.

Hello, We have fallen in love with this beautiful hotel. The staff are lovely and kind and they took time to have friendly conversations with us. The hotel was brilliant with the home cooked meals. It is lovely to know that there are still kind and lovely people out there that go that extra little bit to ensure that you have a beautiful time. We could see the amount of effort that was put in to ensure that we had a lovely time. Everything was carefully done to make sure that we had a lovely time. This hotel will stay in our hearts for a very long time. We cannot thank you enough for all that you have done for us. We will certainly be coming back again for another beautiful Holliday. Thank you again. The guests from Rawdon.

Well let's start with the negatives to get that out of the way. There are none so that was quick and simple. The positives... everything about the place. I lovely old building with character. Beautifully presented. The rooms are ideal, comfortable, clean and a reasonable size. The food is altogether on another level. Breakfast will keep you going all day. Cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast and the all important cooked breakfast plus tea, coffee and juice. You need a nap after eating this before going out for the day. The evening meal is just the perfect way to end the day. Everything is just amazing from the starter, to the main and of course the delicious puddings. Ann is just a master in the kitchen and Lyndsey is the most amazing host. We have been back time and again and will continue to return. Oh, there is one downside the fact that I live in South Wales and they are 4 hours from me!…

My second visit & certainly not my last. The owners Ann & Lyndsay are friendly, genuine & incredibly welcoming. The hotel is in a great setting with wonderful views over the River Conwy. The decor is a little dated but everywhere is spotlessly clean. My bedroom was spacious, with a fabulous view, very comfortable bed, lovely toiletries provided & always plenty of hot water. Breakfasts are great with lots of choices. They also offer an extensive dinner menu & my friend & I ate very well indeed. Very sad to leave & already booked a return visit.

Staying here is always a treat, always a very warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere. I've stayed here numerous times over the years. It is great place to escape and enjoy some beautiful countryside. The front bed rooms have a wonderful view, as well as a comfy bed. The breakfast is plentiful and has a wide selection. Evening meals are delightful, always delicious and a great way to finish off a day hiking. Highly recommended.

Had an evening meal here, 4 of us, 2 couples, slightly dated decor, but the food and service were excellent, especially the young waitress who made our evening extra joyous, extremely polite and incredibly helpful. Would definitely return.

Excellent private hotel with great views, friendly owners, great food and a lovely quiet location. Highly recommended. Lyndsey and Ann were fab and were very accommodating, providing us with a packed lunch so we could go for a lovely walk in the countryside near the hotel. Five hours later it was great to come back and be able to enjoy a drink outside overlooking the river Conwy. We came here to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and weren't disappointed.

Room Tip:Gets busy on a Sunday lunchtime. Great walks nearby, but nowhere to buy a newspaper.

My first stay at this hotel which is privately run establishment, was a lovely experience. The host was very welcoming, I found the hotel lounge, eating areas and rooms to be spotless, and extremely tidy. The Brasserie provides excellent well-presented meals ( certainly not basic pub food). You are invited to order only as much or little as you want - no pressure to have all three courses shown on the menu. Breakfast is well presented, I chose full Welsh breakfast, which alongside the fruit, coffee and toast, this kept me going for the rest of the day whilst walking the Carneddu. No issue with parking, there are plenty of spaces. The front of the hotel, and I think most rooms face the Conwy valley and river, and being slightly off the main routes into the ears, this a quiet location, easy to find. I will certainly be returning. …

Just spent three nights here and it exceeded expectations. I booked a single room, very reasonably priced, and got a large, spacious room overlooking the river and mountains. Comfy bed with crisp white sheets and I can’t believe how soundly I slept. Felt very much at ease as a lone traveller. Owners so welcoming and friendly. The hotel was lovely and warm, beautifully maintained, with a luxurious lounge and bar. Tasty draft lager. Lots of wildlife to be viewed even from the breakfast table and this morning we saw two lesser redpolls in the trees opposite. (A birdwatching trip was in and pointed them out) Otters sometimes seen in the river opposite. Also, lovely river walks from just across the road. Highly recommended for anyone wanting peace and quiet, but also close enough to Llandudno, Bangor, Conwy for days out. Only had b and b, breakfast was magnificent. Full jug of orange juice was a bonus. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.…

I'll admit, cant speak for rest of the week, but the Sunday roast is very good and seems cheap for the quality. Is my choice for Sunday lunch and dinner in the area because it really is exceptional value, with warm and friendly staff as well. Well worth a trip to if you are anywhere close.
