Myself and my husband got married at the Ashburnham on 19th August. Our whole day was held there and couldn't have been more perfect. Sue and her team of staff are amazing! From the minute we viewed the Ash, she put us both at ease and talked us through everything every step of the way and helped make our day... More

Many thanks to Sue and all the staff that worked so hard last Saturday evening to make sure that my parents anniversary evening was a success. The carvery was of the usual high standard with a nice choice of desserts. Venue was ideal for hosting a family celebration with the large room at the back ideal for a private family... More

Nice venue though some bedrooms smelled of damp and were outdated. Was very disappointed when the woman behind the bar refused to give me the Wifi password despite being told I needed to skype the wedding ceremony to a guest who was unable to get there (married to military and based in Korea) Using the Cloud as she suggested meant... This was a return trip to the Ashburnham and I recommended it to my travelling companions. What a trip of two halves! Firstly the room we used was stunning - clean and well-presented scoring 10/10. We congregated in the bar at 7pm, had a drink and then asked if we could eat.. "Sorry we stopped serving food at 7pm". WHAT!... More

We stayed at the Ashburnham hotel for one night the welcome was friendly. One issue was the steep narrow staircase to the room. The room (no 1) was very nice and reasonably equipped including Sky TV and WiFi. We had a bar meal which was excellent. After our evening out we returned to the hotel and had a good night's... More

We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage sons. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights (Room No. 4 & No. 7). The rooms are nice and spacious and clean even though something might be outdated but still functional. The hotel building itself has its history with pioneer pilot "Amelia Earhart" staying here long time ago.... so the floor... More

Attending a wedding on the 19th August. The soup for starters were huge chunks of random veg plonked into boiled water, no taste and looked very unappetising. The dinner was OK but the sponge for dessert was very artificial tasting. The attitude on some of these women serving was disgusting. Miserable faces on them, no smile. Missed breakfast because I... Breakfast and evening meal were both very good and in fact all the food being served looked superb. Very friendly staff. Executive room was large and the bed very big. Well situated for nice walks. Totally satisfied and we are already booked in for a couple of days in September.
