We took advantage of the BOGOF offer and booked 2 nights here for a much needed change of scenery for us and our 9 and 12 year old daughters.
It was easy to find and conveniently located for several big chain supermarkets and shops without feeling we were in a busy town.
The receptionist gave a great first impression and her happy and helpful attitude stayed throughout. I was provided with a hairdryer no problem when I asked and we were offered cutlery and plates if we wanted to get takeaway.
The room was spotless and we felt comfortable in this hygiene high alert covid time by the sanitisers provided and the perspex screen for staff on reception.
The car park was a good size and we had no issues with a space at any time.

To be frank, I don't usually stay in Travelodges because of some very bad experiences in the past, such as, on one occasion, my paid-for room was let go after I'd arranged a late arrival and I then had to drive miles to another hotel. So, when the Pembroke Dock Travelodge was recommended to me I wasn't keen, but decided to give it a go because of convenience and a helpful location. Well, I've certainly changed my mind, because this Travelodge is outstanding. The place is spotless, the rooms are spacious with good temperature control and the decoration is fresh and clean. My bed was very comfortable and the shower provided all the hot water I needed. These things are all very good indeed, but the greatest strength of this hotel is the staff. They genuinely are outstanding and they looked after me superbly throughout my visit. They are kind, responsive, professional and friendly and really wanted to make my stay enjoyable, which they did. They made me feel welcome. So, now that I'm aware of the very high standards, I've booked another four night stay in a couple of months. Well done, Travelodge Pembroke Dock!

Pembroke Docks Travelodge: Amazingly good staff who changed a room for my disabled friend on our arrival. We had not been able to book such a room but the staff had gone out of their way to facilitate her request by swapping rooms around. Free parking right outside with disabled at the very front. The rooms are amply spaced and are cleaned daily to a good standard With comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities bath and shower facilities are modern. Breakfast To Go is good value and adequate till lunch time.Facilities around are Tesco, Asda, Petrol Station, good pubs with adequate food and beer facilities. Docks can be walked to if so disposed, or you can park and watch the activities going on around the dock. Evening staffing is available at times and it's not too noisy. The building is set back from the main road and although not ultra modern offers a good standard for an amazing cost for what it is. Would recommend to anyone who is on business or visiting and does not want to to pay a vast fortune for what is after all a place to stay and rest

2 night stay and although the communal areas were clean, covid friendly and clear of clutter it had a overpowering smell of cheap cleaning product.

The allocated family room overlooked neighbours garden, garage and the adjacent house could see into your room. With no net curtains it meant everytime you wanted to get dressed or have privacy whilst in the room the main curtains needed to be closed making the room dark.

The bathroom was small but clean. There were areas where the grouting needed replacing due to mould. Wasn't possible to switch off very NOISY bathroom fan.
Beds were comfortable which was a relief as stay was work related.

Location wise there is an Lidl, ASDA within a few minutes walk and a ray of shops within 10 min walk.

The price is disgracefully high for suck a poor offer.

Sweet wrappers on the floor on arrival. Light bulb out. Not enough toilet roll. No mattress protectors.

The noise is phenomenal with the banging of the entrance door. Why does Travelodge always put accessible rooms right by the entrance? People coming in and out, shouting, drink etc. No sleep.

WiFi should be free in the price of the rooms especially as it’s not that reliable.

Desperate for a change of scenery, and being the only availability in West Wales for our dates we booked here aware it would be no frills, basic accommodation.
As other reviewers have commented, the staff are wonderful, very friendly and attentive, the beds very comfy and shower lovely and hot.
I’m unsure whether our room allocation was different due to having our puppy with us, but we didn’t experience the same level of cleanliness as other posters.
Yes, our linen and all touch surfaces were clean, but the carpet, walls and floor of the bathroom were incredibly grubby, and not just in need of a fresh coat of paint either. Little piles of sand collected on the skirting boards from the previous occupants and the puppy was constantly nibbling on things he’d found under the bed or desk. He was also collecting someone else’s hair on his coat.
I was surprised that the hotel hadn’t undergone a deep clean prior to re-opening.
This hotel is definitely only to be used as a last minute stop over before boarding the ferry, or as a last resort. At a comparable price to its rivals, it could do so much better; climate control, free WiFi - even a good clean would have given an extra star from me!

On arrival no one at the desk to greet us. We had to call them for someone to come out of the back room. Not a bell, actually a phone call. We checked in and was pointed to the tea and coffee basked to take our own for the room Our room at first glance seemed ok but our bathroom had a plug wedged in the sink that had to be forced out. Mould on the tiles, one towel hanging in the bathroom we had to hunt for it even though this was a room booked for 2. The mattress on the bed was terrible and Jabbed you in the back. No air con thankfully windows could be open but restricted. We stayed 2 nights so expected our bed to be made at the least NO. Sheets were left how we left them, pulled back as a hint, new towels just left on top of them.

Stayed at this travelodge numerous times and can not fault the staff, (Kerry & Roxy) they go above and beyond for you.
These not many places I've visited where the staff are friendly and up for a laugh.

All the hotel needs is a lick of paint, sockets by the bed and new carpets and you wouldn't be able to pick them up for anything.

We've stayed here 3 times now, and each time saw us having a perfectly lovely experience.

A lot of poor reviews are, in my opinion, often based on unfair and unrealistic expectations and I'm happy to say that I generally know what I'm getting with a Premier Inn or Travelodge.

This hotel offer free and convenient parking, it is within 2 - 5 minutes walking distance of several major branded stores for anything you may need and its location can't get much better; with most local tourist attractions being a short drive away. The hotel is relatively clean and it is warm; so I'll be happy for my family to use it as a 'home base' when we're touring the local spots.

The most important factor in our experiences however was the staff; they cannot be faulted. Always pleasant despite clearly being always busy, and even the housekeepers who are often forgotten made sure to offer a greeting with a smile whilst passing in the corridors. Our friends from Bristol joined us and had a room at the other side of the building and I'm glad to say they had the same feedback.

I've been led to believe that there's a big focus on a 5* in hotels these days so I'm making sure to branch out from my usual 4* tendencies if it makes a small difference to someone's day!

See you all in the Summer, all being well.

We had a fantastic 6 night stay visiting family, the staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble! The room was big really quiet spotlessly clean all carpets throughout looked like they had just been shampooed. Our bed was so comfortable and the pillows were soft and fluffy ensuring a great nights sleep every night. Towels were really good quality and the staff asked every day if we would like them changed. Refreshments in the room were topped up daily and in reception on the table were more you could take up on your return. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Pembrokeshire! Fantastic value for money and an amazing team we have stayed 12 nights in total from July 23 to Jan 24 oh and the parking is free!

Tel no is 0870 191 1799 and if checking in that late, I would suggest calling ahead but never had a problem with travelodge with this.
