We had a 2nd floor room overlooking the marina, the room was very warm and we had to keep the window open. Comfortable bed, spacious room, good shower.
Stains and plaster bubbling on ceiling of our room, on the hotel landing and toilets on ground floor. Potentially could be a great hotel, lovely large bar.
The kitchen was closed one eve, however the hotel was accommodating saying we could bring food into the bar to eat.
The staff were very polite helpful while we stayed.
I think the hotel could do with a face lift.
Overall we enjoyed our stay

The hotel looks lovely from the exterior and probably the nicest looking hotel in the area.
We booked a few nights midweek on booking.com and paid around £180.00 for 2 night stay which included breakfast.
Booking.com sold it as a Kingsize Bed but we were given a small double and I mean the bed was tiny! And the most uncomfortable pillows I’ve ever had!

The room was tatty, curtains didn’t hang on the rail and the shower was luke warm.
Apart from those few negatives.. the rooms were relatively quiet (apart from neighbours TV’s being left on through the night)
Clean and an average size.

The breakfast service was slow on the first morning (waiting around 45 minutes) and was warm (not hot) when served.
The waitress (there was only 1) seemed rushed off her feet making coffees which slowed the service up for the 3 tables that were dining that morning.

We had dinner one evening which was lovely and I would highly recommend.

All staff appeared friendly and approachable.

I did not mention to the staff about any of the above negativities as I did not really feel it warranted moaning about, sometimes you just have to go with it.

All in all, an ok ish stay.
Would I return.. probably but would pre question the room before settling and have breakfast elsewhere.

There is a McDonald’s, Greggs, Subway, Costa and Tesco close by and a few cafes on the harbour side.

We eventually got to stay here at the third time of trying due to covid, we chose here because of the convenience rather than the expectations of the standard of hotel, it is within walking distance of or our sons home when visiting the grandchildren. We did not have high expectations initially but what a pleasant surprise we had, the room was spacious and the view over the marina was tremendous. we did not have breakfast but we did eat in the hotel one night with the family and the food was very good and plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we will certainly stay here again. Although only over two floors I didn't see a lift which could be a problem for less mobile persons. Milford Haven itself is slightly rundown and probably needs some investment like they have done on the Marina but the location is wonderful to travel around this beautiful part of Wales

This is a budget hotel so I want to be fair. Positives: Large room, comfortable main bed, good size bathroom, hotel situation is handy, above the marina. It’s pet friendly and staff friendly to guests and dog! Negatives: sofa bed for my teenage son was very uncomfortable, springs sticking out all over mattress, when I complained he got an extra duvet to mask springs. Most b&b/hotels I’ve stayed in at least make the bed, empty bins on a daily basis. This doesn’t happen here! In fact we ran out of loo roll and had to ask for me. Come on, this is basic stuff! Would we stay again, probably not.

The admiral lord Nelson died a long time ago. The Lord Nelson, Milford Haven hasn’t been updated or cared for since.

I can accept its quite an old building, the floors creak a bit and maybe they’re not quite level. But everywhere there is a sense of it being very unclean. We had a drink in the bar when we arrived, after a five hour journey, and the tables in the bar area where sticky with glass marks - no it wasn’t busy. Our room had a distinct odour about it and we couldn’t get the window to stay open. Fair play they changed our room. Up another flight of stairs to see flaking plaster on the stairs which was still there when we left two days later.

At £200 for a double room for two nights it wasn’t cheap and then they want £8 per head for breakfast.

Overpriced, unkempt (that applies to some of the staff as well as the building), uncared for and generally run down sums it up. There are far better hotels in the area for the same or less money which we will make sure we get into if we ever have to go that way again.

Absolute shambles of a meal. that is the only way i can put it. food took way to long to come out (hour from starters to mains) the childrens meals were wrong and still came out wrong twice even after being told. The childrens desserts never came out so we left without as the children were extremely tired and annoyed after sitting in the pub for 2 hours. Sides came out half hour before mains and were delivered to the wrong table. they were then handed to us by the table that received them. when the staff eventually came over i asked if we could have the side with our mains and fresh as theyd been delivered to the wrong table, the response i had was a giggle and yeah ok. even if COVID wasnt going on that is unacceptable. asked if we could order desserts yet noone came back. the pub wasnt even busy, there was about 5/6 tables in max. serveice is extremely slow and as for the portions... miniscule. £4.50 for 5 tiny pieces of chicken bites and not even a dessert spoon full of garlic mushrooms. The bacon and cheese on the taveners chicken resembled rubber and the lamb steak was so fatty half of it came home to the dog, and it was missing the mint sauce. eventually managed to get the attention af a memeber of staff who asked if i wanted the bill... to which i replied yes please and the manager. the staff member walked off not knowing i was behind him and muttered something to the manager. I had no apology off any member of staff for the absolutely awful experience we had. The manager took £9 off the meal after the eat out to help out scheme was discounted, to make the total £15, which i begrudged paying as the food was shocking. Im extremely dissapointed in this as we went for a treat for my daughters, even after being told how awful the place has gone recently. but yes the reviews are completely correct.

The one star I had to give is extremely generous. Went for a family with 5 kids under 7. All food either stone cold or burnt, missing every add on even those paid extra for. Staff was extremely rude and unwilling to offer even a sorry let alone recompencate for the food missing or done incorrectly. Everytime we were forced to make a complaint we just had eye rolls and excuses. The kids ended up going hungry and very upset because they were missing half they're food and what they did get was freezing cold and inedible. When they finally excepted they're mistakes after trying to pin the blame on us we recieved are side 30 minutes after having the food. I will not be visiting this establishment again and I would urge others to think twice before making the decision to waste they're money here.

I was booked in for four nights at this hotel but only managed two. The room was covered in mould and water bubbling all over the ceiling made it smell awful. When I complained to the manager I was told simply 'it is a problem across the hotel not just that room' which didn't fill me with any faith for eating there. Staff very friendly but unwilling to address the issue of a mouldy room. Not what you want when paying £90 a night for a single bed!

I had a double room which wasn't too expensive considering it was single occupancy. View was out onto the yard at the back of the hotel.
There was no information documentation ion the room.
Room was a good size and bed okay but was actually 2 singles pushed together. As in a previous review there was crumbling plaster on the wall by window. Hotel needs a lot of refurbishment generally. Apparently it has just been taken over by Marstons so perhaps this is in the pipeline.
Room wasn't serviced after 1st night although they did remove a used towel, which wasn't replaced. It turns out you have to request for the room to be serviced.
Next day room was serviced, or at least the bed was made. No used towels were replaced, a cleaning cloth was left behind and when I returned I found the door hadn't been closed
Wouldn't rush to stay here again nor recommend it.
