Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Top notch b&b Elizabeth our host was more than welcoming, very clean room with comfy bed, fresh towels, tea and coffee supplied daily, delicious cooked breakfast with homemade bread and jams Elizabeth is very informative and pointed out some places to visit, The b&b is about 10 minutes from Belfast international airport by car,due to its remote location it’s advisable to drive or cycle as no public transport nearby, there’s a great little pub 5 minutes away with local craft beers and wine This is undoubtedly the best b&b I have ever stayed in.

I stayed with a friend for a weekend to reconnect with family. Elizabeth could not have been more welcoming and her knowledge of the area and where to visit is outstanding. The property is in a beautiful area which is very rustic and charming. I'd happily stay again, and if I'm back in that stunning part of the country elizabeth will be on my speed dial. Thanks again

We stayed in the hay loft apartment. It was lovely, spotless clean and the owner advised what additional covid practices were in place, which we found very reassuring. Run by a very nice couple who couldn't do enough for us and who were there to answer any questions on things to do and places to visit etc. Their recommendation to visit whitepark bay beach was a brilliant suggestion, best beach I have EVER BEEN to. Thanks for helping make our holiday in NI a good time.

We stayed 23-26 Oct, and our friends stayed in The Loft. We stayed in the Blue Room, and it was more than large enough for 2 adults and 2 children. It was clean and comfortable, with a nice en-suite. The owner, Elizabeth, was so friendly and accommodating. She was very helpful suggesting local attractions, pubs, and her knowledge seemed boundless! She reached out to us shortly after booking to enquire about dietary requirements, and even picked up a box of our daughter's favourite cereal. Breakfast was fantastic, with a good choice/combinations, and the local ingredients couldn't have been better. All in all, this was easily the best B&B we've stayed in, and we'll definitely use again. Our first time in N.I. but not our last!

Clean, airy room with countryside views- very close to Belfast International Airport but very peaceful. I would strongly recommend this great resting place! Order an evening meal as well as the breakfast with the most varied choices I’ve found. This place is a real gem with tremendous hosts who know the local area back to front. Give it a try!

We had an overnight stay in June, Elizabeth was very welcoming and we were offered tea and cake which was lovely. The room overlooked the Lough which was beautiful, and a lovely sunset. The bed , and pillows were super - comfy! We had to leave very early the next morning to catch a flight, but Elizabeth still made us coffee & continental breakfast, which was a nice touch. Wish we could have stayed longer.

I only had a 1 night stay as I had to travel to Derry the next morning. Elizabeth was the perfect host and the evening meal of Lamb shank was delicious as was the breakfast. It is set beautifully by Loch Neagh and it was so peaceful. Such a contrast to the normal business hotels I have to stay in and I will definitely stay again. The room (Blue room) was a very good size and had views to the front and rear. I cannot rate this property high enough. It is in the top 5 places I have stayed worldwide.

We stayed for 1 night after arriving into Belfast, before driving to Derry. Our room was lovely and comfortable with a nice view. My only real criticism isn't really a criticism, more of a personal preference. We picked this place since it was remote, but we didn't seem to get much down time. When we arrived we were shown to our room and asked if we wanted a cup of tea in the lounge, which was kind (the hostess was very nice). When we went down we were sat with the other guests and chatting to them. This was the same for breakfast, we dined with them. Although I have no problem having conversation with people, it just made breakfast a longer experience than we'd intended. We'd planned on having a walk around the local area to get some nice fresh air before setting off, but it was pretty much time to check out by the time we'd finished. I know this makes me sound really antisocial, it is just unfortunate that we'd booked this for an escape, and we didn't really get that. I think it might have been a little different if we'd stayed a couple of nights.

Dear Katie, Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you were disappointed with your stay. We only have one sitting room for guests so there is little I can do about that but if I had known you wanted breakfast on your own I could have made alternative arrangements. I have the one dining table set up as generally people love to chat and swap stories, anecdotes and on one occasion discover a whole set of mutual friends! I quite understand if people do not want to talk over breakfast, I feel the same way about plane journeys. Thank you for pointing this out because I will try to give the option in future if they want to have breakfast on their own. Please return and we will try to ensure you have the option of downtime. Elizabeth
