Just back from staying for two nights. Brilliant offer £99 each day for two people including a two course meal and breakfast. Great value and the food is first class, really delicious. The rooms were spotlessly clean with everything you need.
The thing that made our break so good was all the amazing staff. Every single member of staff were friendly and helpful and all very hard working. Well done Ballyrobin hotel, we'll definitely be back. Thank you for everything.

We booked the Ballyrobin Lodge Hotel after a shopping trip for a group of 30 carers and volunteers we were able to pre order our meals beforehand. I can’t thank the girls enough for the great service given to us nothing was too much trouble. The food was served quickly, lovely, hot and so delicious, plenty off clear plates. The ice cream and sorbet desserts were amazing, as were the others - fab portions. Looking forward to returning.

Our family stayed at The Ballyrobin Hotel recently. What a delightful visit we had. We occupied both a double and twin room, each was spotlessly clean and spacious. We enjoyed delicious food from the extremely reasonably priced dinner menu. Tasty gluten free options were plentiful on both breakfast and dinner menus which was important to one of my children who is coeliac.

All staff members were friendly, helpful and courteous. Reece and Leah were two members of whom I asked their names. If I had a business I would be head hunting them both. Terrific ambassadors for this wonderful property. As for the lady at breakfast who made my son a wonderful mocha, thank you. Personal touches such as this make The Ballyrobin a wonderful place to stay. It goes without saying we will stay here again. Thank you to everyone who made our stay a perfect one!

It is only a 2 minute drive to Belfast International Airport and a stone's throw from Hyde Air Park which offers the best rates for car parking. The efficient service we experienced will ensure we will park there every time we fly from Belfast International.

Went to the ballyrobin on Sunday with all the family for a festive lunch.
Plenty of space, covid practices carried out safely and effortlessly causing no stress whatsoever.
Our service was top class, from a warm welcome and laugh on arrival, taking temperatures and sanitising, right through to an easy ordering process, even with four difficult children.. the food was delicious, adults all had the turkey dinner (tis the season).
Kerry was fantastic, helpful and friendly. Will definitely return once things reopen, loved the cosy friendly feel.
Once again thanks to all the staff, great afternoon out. Merry Christmas to you!

We stayed and ate at the Ballyrobin last night taking advantage of their offer, 1 x night stay including breakfast and two course evening meal for 2; £99. Super value, warm welcome on arrival and the rooms are clean and very well presented as always. We both enjoyed a starter and main from the dinner menu and didn't disappoint, good selection of dishes to choose from, food was first class and no skimping on portion size. Ally enjoyed the brie followed by scampi and myself the chicken wings followed by salt and chilli squid. The chicken wings were accompanied by pickled cucumber and was an outstanding addition to escalate chicken wings to a new level and the squid accompanied by an asian slaw which was stunning. Good dishes executed well with little twists that just elevated them to the next level. All this followed in the morning with an ulster fry, coffee and juice, all for £99, not to be missed! Enjoy..

This was a last minute one night booking for a wedding reception elsewhere next day. Fantastic customer service throughout including collecting me from airport and putting my dinner order in on my behalf first to make sure I got fed! Bar staff happy to stay open despite being really quiet. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was continental style, ordered the night before and ready on a tray in restaurant at an agreed time in the morning. It was probably the hottest day of the year and I wasn’t being collected until about 1pm so the housekeeping team offered to leave my room to last which meant I didn’t have to rush and then sit around in my suit. Food was good, everyone was helpful and the whole stay was good value. Would definitely recommend and happily stay there again.

We had a very bad start on arrival when we given room keys for room 204 and when we opened the door (at about 2 am) the room was already occupied. How embarrassing for both parties. Returning to reception we were given keys for room 203, keys which wouldn’t open the door. Back to reception again and this time the staff member managed to jiggle the door open.

We were booked into a "Traditional Room" but we found ourselves in a very hot stuffy room with no ventilation. There was a fan but we couldn’t get that to work. We had to open the front window to let some air in but it would be impossible to sleep with the level of noise from the road outside. Overall it was a very poor night’s rest. I would describe the room as the worst, and most overpriced, we have ever stayed in. It didn't look anything like the rooms on their website.

The access to the room was up a smelly dank staircase which made coming and going very unpleasant.

In the bathroom, everything worked but the walls, woodwork and shower tray were filthy.

OK it was at the cheaper end of their room prices but it was scarcely fit for purpose.

The only positive we can take from our stay was that staff at breakfast were very conscious of my wife’s allergies. Well done to them on that. On the other hand, the small area of “Breakfast Buffet” was quite grotty.

Overall we found the whole thing so unpleasant that we couldn’t wait to leave.

Usually stop here for lunch on way to airport and enjoy excellent food and service. Today the service was up to usual excellent standard but the food was wanting. Firstly, the online menu showed a range of sandwiches and I was looking forward to a beef and horseradish sandwich. However no sandwiches or small dishes available. Everything else apart from the specials was a full meal which was too much for me. In the end I ordered a small beef stew and my partner had supreme of chicken.

Unfortunately, the stew was not as expected - more like beef casserole with new potatoes added - and was very salty. My partner’s chicken was very dry and some of it so hard it was inedible. We did not have time to send it back.

The response restored our faith in the Ballyrobin - an immediate apology from front of house and chef and refund of the chicken dish.

I hope our next visit is up to your normal excellent standard.

Response from Elaine K, Manager at Ballyrobin Country Lodge
Responded 24 Jan 2020
We are so sorry for the disappointing meal at the Ballyrobin Hotel and Bistro - we are currently changing the menu and thus the reason for the menu online being different. The new lunch menu will have more small dishes on it starting Monday 27th Jan. We have no excuse for the dry chicken and we will take on board your comments about the stew. We do hope you will return to the Red Robin Bistro and give us another chance. Once again sincere apologies.

Visit here regularly for breakfast meetings, lunch with the girls or dinner after arriving back into the airport. The food is delicious, the girls are friendly and pleasant and it’s warm and cozy setting you up for the rest of your journey. Great place.

is there transport to the airport for a morning flight?
Answer from Peter D
Belfast, United Kingdom13 contributions9 helpful votes
Unfortunately not you would need to get a Taxi which costs around £8-£9 including the barrier charge. The Hotel does have a Stay and Park offer where you get 7 days free parking with an overnight stay but you have to book through the hotel directly and not a 3rd party website. The parking is based with Hyde Airpark and on the morning you checkout you drive to them and they take you to the airport and on your return they pick you up at the airport and take you back to your car.
Answer from Victoria P

Good Evening, yes we work with Hyde Air Park which is located directly opposite the hotel, we offer 7 days complimentary parking and anything after that is £3.00 per day. You will need to book directly with us to receive this offer. Hope this has been helpful. Many Thanks.
