We had one night in an apartment room. The rooms are a little dated in the furnishing and decor department but that isn't really a problem , the main thing is that the room was clean :-) It is a good place to stay - on the main road and with a restaurant on site. We were travelling with another...

The main hotel building has high wooden ceilings, exposed beams and lots of character of an Alpine style in the bar, restaurant and lobby. This is one of the loveliest hotels we have stayed in in New Zealand. The bedrooms are set in a semicircle around the car park to one side, motel style. However the bedrooms all have great views...

We stayed here for 1 night in between a trip to the Marlborough sounds and Arthur’s Pass. The lodge was clean and spacious and came with everything we needed for a home cooked meal. The shop over the road had limited supplies but closed at 8pm. The surrounding area is nice and a good spot for an overnight stay.

We stayed here one night. The rooms were basic but clean. The dinner at the restaurant was actually very good and specially as we could complement our dinner with a bottle of neudorf Pinot noir at a reasonable price. The breakfast, especially for a gluten dairy free person was quiet expensive. I would walk over to the super market across...

Stayed here for 4 nights and could have stayed for more. Not much in st arnaud apart from petrol station, cafe, shop and fish shop open on Friday and Saturday. Accommodation is really comfortable and large, needs modernising but quaint as it. Staff in hotel are all really friendly and helpful. Restaurant is worth a visit. Accommodation only a short...

Very nice place to stay for a couple of days. Nice walking areas. Beautiful space all over. Nice rooms but very stiff blankets to share for two person. Restaurant has a very nice menu. Can highly recommend the pizzas, they were thin and crunchy.

Travelled 5 hours today and pre booked at the lodge - getting a tad old but was comfy enough Has some great walking tracks if your keen Dinner in the restaurant was disappointing as my wife's meal was served incorrectly and returned - they replaced it with her original order but not only did we eat at different times, her...

Loved the atmosphere at this place. We were welcomed warmly and while we weren't able to check in early, we were told to come back at 12:30 and they would see what they could do - while we didn't bother, I appreciated the gesture. Room itself was fine- but not really the best if you are saving money - i.e....

Check in was easy with very pleasant staff. My room was a basic backpackers room; it was clean but a coil spring was sticking out through a hole in the mattress on one side. The lighting in the room wasn't the best; I had trouble reading my book. I slept on the side of the mattress that was intact and...

The staff in general are very nice, I think I have seen some faces previously and never had a problem. But a European waitress with a Russian or German accent was rude. I also smelled of cigarette and perfume and I think it's a disgusting combination if I'm in a restaurant. Anyway she was a nuisance and I think she...
