Very well-run hotel/motel/lodge in the very small town of St Arnaud. We stayed there overnight on our way from Picton to the West Coast, and should have stayed longer. Comfortable rooms, nicely laid out grounds a short walk to beautiful Lake Rotoiti, and an excellent bar/restaurant area. There were several overseas tourists staying there and everyone seemed as happy as...

Once again a fantastic experience at our favourite little lodge. We arrived to a warm welcome from Leighton who feels like an old friend, and got settled in. Thank you so much for the room upgrade! We originally paid for a superior room, and were upgraded to a suite which we thoroughly enjoyed. The room as always was spotlessly clean,...

Quiet and beautiful setting makes this stay something very special. Good parking and the rooms are most comfortable. The room space is adequate but downstairs rooms lead out to a patio and onto large grassed area with stream and alpine plantings. Very peaceful!! Close to walks and the beautiful lake. One of my favourite spots in the World!

The location of this lodge is great - just a short distance from Lake Rotoiti and surrounded by impressive mountains. The motel units are just lovely - equipped with everything you could need and to a high standard. We had take-away pizza from the Lodge one night and definitely recommend it - especially the 'wild' one. Yum! Staff great too.
