Located in the wine country of the Colchagua Valley, near Santa Cruz. Rolling hills with great weather, vast olive orchards, small villages and hamlets, artesanal cheese, wool, wood, dried fruits and seeds. A great place to go back in time and space and enjoy life! Excellent restaurant with gourmet cooking, innovative recipes, local ingredients and an outstanding wine selection. Friendly,...

We had a wonderful time staying at Residencia Historica de Marchihue. Vivian and Stephane were generous hosts and were very responsive to all our requests. They went above and beyond - even inviting us to have Christmas supper with them. The hotel is something extremely special, and while we stayed in some beautiful five-star resorts while we were in Chile,...

As written below, it's a great place to relax which was what we did on our Chilean tour. Beautiful pool area, nice garden around. The rooms are very big - at first impression they seemed to be a bit cold and dark but we got used to the light very quickly and were happy for the temperature - too hot...

Was taken there as a guest, perfect setting for an out of the way quiet sanctuary. All the food was local, friendly staff, beautiful rooms. Recommended this spot to friends recently who also loved it.

Loved it. Great countryside restaurated 18th century adobe construction. Good installations, very decent (italian) kitchen, good service. The owners have put in an excellent effort of recovering the place after the 2010 earthquake. Not too many activities in the direct neighbourhood except for walking or cycling. Surrounding Colchagua valley is fantastic. 30 minutes by car from Santa Cruz or Pichilemu.

My fiancée and I stayed here in March 2014. The thing that I love about it was the staffs willingness to keep their guests pleased. Basically our every request we had was granted and with a smile, from having our lunch tables set up outside under the beautiful grape vine to having coffee brought to our rooms in the morning....

Perfect place for a deep sleep. Rooms and bathrooms are silent and very large. The staff is particularly nice and caring. The restaurant could be better, as the plates we had where not good at all, perhaps we should have had pastas.

This restored 17th century monastery is a special place. The owner/proprietor Viviane, and her daughter Stephanie, took amazing care of us, arranging tours and lunch reservations at the surrounding wineries, and hosting a fabulous New Year’s Eve party. The rooms are large modern and beautifully appointed. The chef and meal service is top of the line. The pool and all...
