We enjoyed our two nights at the Roisheim Hotel. We stayed in the top floor of the Aurbua building. It was a rustic, but comfortable room. The room was equipped with a large barrel bathtub and filled with lovely antiques. We had 2 windows that let in plenty of light. The only downside was that the toilet and sink area...

We stayed there just one night; too short time, but long enough to experience a special atmosphere of the place, perfect service and to taste excellent traditional Norwegian food. I can warmly recommend you to visit and stay at Røisheim.

We spent a weekend hiking in the fantastic scenery in Jotunheimen based at Røisheim. Unique rooms - none identical. The whole place has been restored while keeping its rustic charm. Friendly and serviceminded staff and fantastic food. My best weekend in years! A bit pricey but worth every penny. Highly recommended.

The main buliding with drawing rooms and dining room is historic genuine and well preserved. Very intimate and relaxing. Our sleeping room was just adequate of size and comfort and tastfully maintained, situated in one of the smaller cabins. A memorable experience.

We looked especially for a place with comfort and a bit of luxury but also with soul and tradition. This place is indeed very charming and is part of a historical hotel-chain in Norway. The hotel itself consist of several different sized and shaped wooden buildings around a country courtyard. Every room is different and you can see that they...

Everything about this hotel shows good care in preserving its history. I found the room furnishings to be tastefully done and in the spirit of the place, but each room I understand is different. I also enjoyed the various quirky details, such as the large wooden barrel that served as the shower stall - even though I imagine visitors with...

I try to get one night at this fantastic place once a year. It is an old-styled hotel where many of the rooms have their own building. The dinner is nice, wine very good but the best is the breakfast. Will come back.

Roisheim is a nice little hotel in Norway with a lot of history surrounding it. The room we had was like a small wood cabin, however was quite comfortable. The main dining areas and lounge rooms where nice. It was quite relaxing to sit by the fire and have a drink before dinner. The dinner was great (not too spectacular,...
