Ok this place ain't the Ritz, we stayed as a family member had often used the place on his pilgrimage to the nearby temple, it's basic accommodation, it's not perfectly clean as per what I'm used to as a westerner but it is clean enough for a stop over, in fact far cleaner than the 5 star hotel I stayed... Good points of this hotel include the location and excellent vegetarian curry. However, the pool is tiny, the value for money is not fantastic and the whole place could use a makeover. It was very noisy in the section close to the main reception, so not a fantastic night's rest. Overall, it was fine for one night, AC and mosquito... More

The hotel area has windows that has never been cleaned. They are covered with wood and inside are dead bugs and dirt. You eat next to this. We got to the hotel late and asked if we can order sth. No problem but they weren't happy cause we ordered something light and not everything from the menu. The room is... More

We only stayed in this guesthouse one night on our way from Ella to Galle. It had ensuite bathroom with hot shower. The room was air conditioned and had a ceiling fan. Outside the room you could sit on the balcony and see the lake. The waiter even bought us a cold beer to the balcony to drink. He was... More

It seems this hotel, which is not featured on Booking or Agoda aspires for more than it is: There is a gate guard and uniformed workers, but shower is not very clean and they didn't turn on a/c in the restaurant. We stayed in the 'old' building in a triple room for 50$. WiFi is in the 'new' building only.... More

This hotel is a great place to stay when visiting Yala National Park. It has older style but very clean rooms with fly screens and mosquito nets. They provided a packed breakfast for our trip to Yala. Limited Wifi in rooms but worked well in the dining and bar area.

Budget clean hotel with A/C and hot water. We stayed 1 night before our safari to Yala the following morning. Rooms were basic and clean but fine for what we needed. As previously commented the pillows are rock hard!! The internet only works in the reception and dinning area. We payed 6000 for 1 night for a twin room and... More

We stayed in Room 2, which is one of Lake Side's 'delux' rooms. The room itself was fantastic; spacious living area and a huge bathroom. Intermittent hot water but that's not really a problem as it is so hot here. The room had very powerful aircon and a fan. There is a TV but no English channels, only local channels.... More

Overnight stop to go to Yala. We liked the pool. In the evening there were some weird black insects so we could not sit outside though we really wanted. Room was clean only minus was veryvery hard pillows like sleeping on a rock. Too expensive for that quality.
