Really surprised about the rating on Tripadvisor. We had a really good stay here for 2 nights. Compared to other hotels in Switzerland price quality is very decent. It was also cheaper then to stay in Konstanz which was our visit purpose. Hotel has a good location next to the border to Germany and walking to oldtown Konstanz is around 5 minutes. You have to pay for parking, 16 Swiss Franks a day but parking in Switzerland in general is expensive. For that amount of money we received a private parking garage behind the hotel for which we received a remote controller. Deposit was 100 EUR cash which we received back at check out.
Personnel at hotel is very friendly.
Rooms are very clean, modern and have everything you need. Bed is really comfortable and there is almost no noise disturbance.
There is a possibility for breakfast but because oldtown Konstanz is very close and there are a lot of good restaurants and breakfast places we went there instead. Price wise also better because eating in Switzerland is expensive. There is a bar at the hotel but of course also the price ratio of Switzerland.

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights and found it to be a great value. Check-in process was easy and the room was clean. Bed was rather firm and bathroom was pretty small, with a sliding door that didn’t really shut, but everything went smoothly and we enjoyed the location — easy to walk to everything during our time in the city. Would definitely recommend to others!

A very nice small hotel at the border of Kreuzlingen and Konstanz. Rooms are clean with modern amenities and furnishings. Not fancy, but there’s everything you need for a pleasant stay.
Please note that there is no AC. However, my stay was one week in May when the weather is still a bit chilly outside at night, so sleeping was comfortable at night without the need for AC. I think the owner said if it’s hot they can bring a fan.
You can choose to have continental breakfast in the morning for 10 Francs. This breakfast includes basic bread, croissant, fruit, cereal, and coffee and juice. I think you can order eggs for extra. There is a Keurig machine in the room.
Kreuzlingen train station is 10 minutes easy walk. Out the hotel door to the left about 100 meters you cross right into Konstanz, Germany Old Town with tons of shops and restaurants. There is a convenient groceries store (Lidle) as you walk over to Konstanz. Be ware of thieves in Konstanz. Some punks tried to unzip my pack from behind one night.
I like this hotel and will return if I come back to Kreuzlingen. Great value and friendly hosts.

Stayed here two nights, booking.com reservation policy "welcomes children" and don't mention any charge when not extra bed but at the reception (it's not a real reception but the bar) I've been told I "have to" pay 50% extra for my 7 years old, and that is written on the hotel's page not on booking.com. Finally the "manager" offered "only" CHF 50 extra, take it or leave it. In the room: no fridge or minibar, no real air conditioner (but a plug in cooling fan). Semi on suite bath. Good bed. So for couples this is ok, for families pay attention or pay extra (a lot).

Be careful, we had booked this hotel and found out we could not get into Switzerland, notified hotel and they charged us the full amount of our stay $1000. And they charged our credit card 2X !

We were going for some emergency dental work, but received lack of any customer service from hotel prior to our stay. We also notified the Dentist of our rude response.

This was a great find. Literally just over the Swiss border from Germany. Great bar, amazing rooms and bathrooms. Modern and comfortable bedding, excellent bathroom with great shower, overall clean and neat with great style, free Internet, parking for a fee. And significantly less money than the other hotels in Konstanz which after walking by and seeing, were no where as modern or stylish. Location into center of town is a 4 minute walk. Don’t hesitate...book now.

Stayed for one night when passing through. The room was OK, but very hot. Breakfast is served in the cafe on the ground floor and is quite reasonable.
My main complaint, apart from the temperature of the room, related to the shower. This hotel, like many others, now uses bulk dispensers for shower gel/shampoo. This is fine as long as they don't run out. This one, like so many others, did!
Odd point that we noticed was that the room had a completed feedback questionnaire from another room on the table. Does this show how well rooms are checked?

If you plan to go in the late spring or summer, beware: there is no airco in the rooms at the dependance, and it can get very hot there. The room B13 we got there was spacious enough for the two of us for just the couple of days we wanted to stay.
The reception is at the bar counter, you must enter the bar with all your luggage just for checking in. This is the same bar where you can have a drink and listen to a concert during some evenings. And have breakfast in the morning, with the music at the same volume as in the evening. Not really nice if you are not a morning person, like me... The location

I stayed in Hotel Six for 4 days and appreciated the location and the nice rooms. The rooms are of good size and nicely decorated. The location next to the boarder provides the opportunity to explore both Kreuzlingen and Konstanz.
This hotel has no restaurant and a small cafe that does breakfast in the morning from 7:30 which is quite late for most business people. Add to that it takes half an hour to prepare a simple breakfast consisting of bread, slices of sausage and cheese.

Nice modern hotel with clean bright rooms. Staff is very friendly and the hotel is just 50 meters from the border with Germany. You can literally walk into Konstanz (Germany) in less than 3 minutes. The hotel has a nice bar too. The only downside is the Wi-fi: it’s great at the bar but very poor (almost non-existent) in the rooms:( Yet, the hotel is great for those who intend to visit beautiful Konstanz!
