We spent new years eve at the White Lion in Weston with 10 of our family and friends and what a night it was rooms brilliant, food brilliant, atmosphere brilliant. But what made the night for us was the organization and how fluid the night was orgastrated. All this doesn't come by chance it was made possible by the hard...

Whilst it's near Christmas, I'd give some leeway for slow service if the restaurant was busy. The White Lion was half full and service extremely slow. There seemed to be very few staff, and starting from getting a menu, everything took far too long. There just seemed to be a lack of management. Food was good... Hopefully service will improve...

My husband and I found ourselves child free with no plans and were heading to Crewe Hall for tea on the way we stopped here instead as a change. Staff were lovely when we arrived, gave us a choice of seats took drinks and food orders quickly. Food arrived quite quickly too. Our starters and mains were lovely, looked great...

We went to the White Lion for my husband's birthday on a Friday night. Very attentive young staff. The menu offering was good however I would have preferred a bigger dessert menu as the current one didn't tempt me. Food was good and also the presentation. The waiting staff were a little bit chatty together but better than being in...

This is a really nice place to stay lovely clean bedrooms and bathroom, excellent breakfast, friendly accommodating staff, nice friendly atmosphere in the pub area with a nice fire burning and an appealing restaurant we didn't eat at the restaurant as we were going to a wedding but had pub food which was excellent.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and had a lovey time, the food was great and the service was very good. The room was very clean and was modern and we had a view of the bowling green which was entertaining at night all lit up. We are hoping to book again soon as we had such a...

Went for a family meal around 5:30 on a Sunday. Were seated easily and drinks/food orders taken promptly. Food arrived - lovely! Service was ok up to that point - nobody returned to check food was ok. After we'd eaten plates were cleared away and we were asked if we wanted desserts - we said yes please and then had...

We went here for the first time since all the alterations. We booked for the evening, and took our friends. We have been to most of the local eateries and this one definitely stands out. The food, service and atmosphere were superb and whilst slightly more expensive than some local pubs it was only by a small amount and well...

It is clear that staff recruitment and training must feature high on the White Lion's agenda, as every single staff member I came into contact with was smiling, courteous, and friendly, as well as delivering very efficient service. My room was fine, a bit old fashioned in decor, but good bed, excellent bathroom, and high quality wifi. Breakfast was excellent,...

We had never been to the White Lion before but we thought we would give it a try. Booked using their website and received a confirmation. When we arrived the girl at the entrance to the restaurant asked for our name and after studying her list called over the manger. After a discussion between them which lasted several minutes, we...
