A lovely pub with rooms. We stayed for a friend's birthday party being held in the pub, which was excellent. Very helpful and friendly staff and a great room which had just been decorated. The bed was so comfortable and the room had everything we needed for our one night's stay. The breakfast was included and I had the full...

We came here for a mid week lunch, the newly extended restaurant was filling up fast at 12:30!! Menu is that of a typical quality village Pub, with an added daily specials board. Though obviously busy, service was efficient, the food was well portioned, quality home made fayre - though plates would benefit from garnishing. Excellent value for money, would...

Great location and beautiful accommodation. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and welcoming. Lovely breakfast - homemade porridge and perfect poached eggs. Couldn't fault the staff in anyway shape or form.

Been here a few times when we want a break from the kids. The rooms are nice and very clean, all the bathrooms are amazing. The staff are friendly and the village is so beautiful. They don't have a huge choice on the menu but the food is good. And the beer is kept well too. They have recently extended...

Called in by chance. We didn't know what to expect but we're very pleasantly surprised. Menu was half price Monday to Thursday. Food was amazing we had more courses than we would normally have at lunch because we were tempted by the excellent price. Service was friendly and prompt. An excellent meal. Food was delicious. Will defiantly return. It would...

We stopped here for one night and thought the room we had was lovely. It's all newly done so had a very modern and clean bathroom (although it could do with a blind rather than just a net curtain) The biscuits on the tea tray were delicious, the bed was comfy and there was plenty of room. Breakfast was really...

Stayed one night here as attending function here. Lovely bathroom and large bedroom. Couple of minor things but owner explained why phone not working. Radiator not working in bathroom also. Bed really comfy though and duvet not too hot. Breakfast good, nice to have fresh orange juice. No view sadly but maybe the more expensive rooms have these. They pub...

We visited The Old White Heart for Sunday lunch which was really good. They served traditional Sunday lunch with some specials on a blackboard. We had the Game soup which was very tasty and roast beef and I had a chocolate pudding which was yummy with milk chocolate sauce poured over and ice cream. The service was friendly and the...

If you are searching for that English pub tucked away in idyllic countryside far from the madding crowd which serves food that revives your tired taste buds then this is the place for you. Wonderful location, wonderful food, wonderful service. It ticks all the boxes. Not cheap, but better one really pleasurable experience than a few mediocre ones. The food...
