We recently stayed here for 2 nights to visit a relative. Firstly, we received a warm welcome in what proved to be a very popular, busy traditional inn. The room was spotlessly clean & we ate on both evenings in the cosy, dog friendly bar. Breakfast was served in the smart dining room. Food was excellent with a good choice... More

10/10/16. This was my first stay at The H&G. Arriving after dark (@8.00pm), the welcome, rooms and food were excellent - which is just what you need anywhere, but especially when it's late in the day, and you have no idea what you might be walking into. Keep up the good work.

I booked two rooms, a double and twin, both rooms were clean, warm and very comfortable, excellent wifi. The staff in the pub were friendly, helpful and cheerful. We didn't eat our evening meal in the pub, but had a very good breakfast, cooked to order. This hotel was a great find, we had a pleasant walk around the village.... More

I stopped in at The Horse and Groom whilst visiting with my son who is working and living locally. We did not use the hotel, so my review is not about the hotel or rooms, only the bar and restaurant. Anyone who loves real ale will know of the Hook Norton Brewery, and the good news is that not only... More

Fantastic stay, from the moment we arrived till we left. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the pub atmosphere was lovely. The food, both the evening meal and breakfast, was exceptional and served in lovely rooms (we had our evening meal in the snug and breakfast in the restaurant). The room were very comfortable and individual, unlike... More

Currently 3 nights into a week long stay, whilst working locally, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We are am staying in a twin room which is spacious with an ensuite with a great shower - a must for me. The rooms are above the pub; which you wouldn't know, as is very quiet upstairs, and the food quality is... More

Stayed just for one night as we were passing through. Lovely little country pub. Room 3 was great-very big and a huge bathroom. Dinner was faultless and the steak burger amazing. Breakfast again faultless and beautiful. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Great find!
