A Perfect weekend of relaxation and beautiful food. Surrounded by warm and friendly people. Tim and Sukhata in particular made us feel very welcome. The early morning boat to trip to the island was very special indeed. Tteat yourself to ar least one treatment. I particularly enjoyed the reflexology. Highly recommended
Myself and 2 friends spent a wonderful weekend at Lake Isle Retreats. If you are looking to relax and rejuvenate this is a must. The mindful activities.. yoga, walking, mantras, meditations were superb. I received a wonderful Indian Head Massage from the beautiful Sukada.. Tim, our host is kind, attentive, knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour. The surroundings, luscious greenery, the lake , the deer.. just beautiful. The accommodation was perfect.. comfortable and clean. Its the energy of the space, so inviting and enriching. The food was so tasty, nutritious and plentiful. The trips to the temple are educational, inspiring and welcoming. Thankyou for a most memorable weekend and I cannot wait to get back 🙌 ❤️
Set on the banks of Lough Erne, Fermanagh, Lake Isle Retreats provided a wonderful location for a 'getaway from it all' trip. The weekend was luxuriously relaxing, the food was delicious, canoeing was fun and I met some lovely people. Having never done yoga or meditation before, I was hesitant to book but now can't wait to return. Thankyou Tim for being a great host.
A lovely weekend, Yoga, Meditation, theripies, chanting, great food... company of other participants super too... as a solo voyager it was so easy to "mingle, mingle, mingle" as Top Cat used to say !! Thanks to Tim, Sunanda, yoga teachers and all the background crew...
My partner and I joined the retreat last week end. It was a lovely experience from start to finish. Tim was a friendly happy, helpful host. Food was amazing and the treatments were excellent. Three days of yoga, mindfulness and meditation all very new to me was very rewarding and revigerating experience for a newby. I will be back on a regular basis at least once a year, maybe more if time permits. Thank you Tim
This was my third stay at lake isle retreats . As always a very relaxing enjoyable weekend . Food amazingly and plenty of it . Therapists the best and house very clean . Tim himself really nice to deal with . Would definitely recommend.
have been meaning to write this review for a while,i have been to lake isle retreat 8 times & i will go again some day, this is a brilliant retreat centre & i give it 5 stars. The value for money is excellent, The staff are very good people and very helpful, the food is excellent really enjoyable meals & very healthy, everyone loves the homemade granola for breakfast & most people have a 2nd bowl. The meditations & yoga classes are very good & enjoyable, I love the walks in the parks/forests on the saturday. The visit to the temple on the sunday is also a good experience. I Have met a lot of great people on these retreats and some of them i have kept in contact with. Tim does a very good job at organising these retreats, the whole weekend is full of enjoyable classes, meals, meditations & therapies(there are several different therapies to choose from), the therapies are very good value for money, i always have a full body massage with yen(one of the therapists)and she is brilliant at giving the full body massages, i highly recomend anyone going on this retreat to book in for the full body massage with Yen as it is money well spent.…
Just back from a two day silent retreat at Lake Island and it was two of the most calming and inspirational days of my life. Although we managed to fit in yoga classes, meditation, two trips to the temple with really informative talks being given on both days and nature walks the days went at such a relaxed pace. Tim was such a lovely, humorous, gentle host and nothing felt forced. The food was amazing, healthy, fresh vegetarian affair with Tim's gorgeous homemade granola for breakfast. I learned and experienced so much more that I could have imagined over the course of my two days. Will definitely be back. Ann, Co. Meath.
We decided on a retreat for a weekend in order to reset ourselves due to the world we’re currently living in. Everything was amazing from the moment we arrived. The house is lovely and warm with all the amenities you could possibly need. The rooms are well spaced and shared spaces were extremely well presented. We had a few highlights over the weekend; the food!! Wow wow wow! The therapies and yoga that we engaged in. The early morning trip to the temple is a most! What a truly wonderful experience and we were blessed with snow while there. The deer were also a lovely surprise around the island. I couldn’t recommend a weekend here enough, the people who we met, from the guests, devotees, therapists, hosts and of course Tim were truly such amazing individuals! It was exactly what we needed! …
I went to Lake Isle retreats to get away from the stress of life and personal issues. My initial thoughts were it's just some yoga, meditation etc. But what I got was so much more. Tim was an excellent host. The food was amazing as were the other guests. But what I found there ironically was myself. More than I have in a very long time. Through deep talks with a couple of the monks. Mahamantra meditating and Tim's chants. Being surrounded in beautiful nature around the lakes. It was literally a world away. And done me very good personally. Triggering a deep change and personal healing. Also making friends with one of the monks and keeping in touch. I highly recommend this retreat for a getaway but also as a way to reconnect with yourself, your heart and spirit. Namaste.
