We are a group of friends who run a retreat centre in Ireland, close to Upper L. Erne. We are situated across from Inish Rath Island, a 22-acre wooded lake isle. The island is home to the main Krishna (ISKCON) temple in the country. [This is a Vedic temple, or a mandir associated with the world-faith known as Hinduism, also referred to as Bhakti Yoga] Spiritual, meditation, yoga and vegetarian cookery retreats are offered, with aromatherapy massage and other therapies available. We've been hosting retreats from 2006. We visit Inish Rath by ferry boat or rowing boat (5 minute crossing) We love to host our guests and provide for them an enlivening holistic time.

I had such a relaxing weekend at Lake Island Retreats. The food was exceptional, Tim and his team gave us such a warm welcome and the meditation and yoga teachers were outstanding. The trip to Crom Estate and to Inis Rath were an unexpected bonus. This weekend retreat was a joy from start to finish. I would wholeheartedly recommend it. Go raibh míle maith agaibh!

I truly enjoyed my weekend taking part in a Lake Isle Retreat! This is a gem of a retreat with amazing value for money for nature lovers, the spiritually curious, and those who simply need to unplug. The accommodations are beautiful, comfortable, clean, simple and close to nature. The food is absolutely delicious and handmade. I took part in a weekend focussed on yoga with Olive MacDonagh. She was an amazing teacher! The weekend attracted lovely, kind, like-minded people who were a pleasure to get to know in the small group setting. Tim and Yen are lovely hosts who seek to make there guests feel very welcome! The massage treatments are amazing!

Fantastic retreat on offer here. Tim and Yen are the most welcoming of hosts and made the weekend enjoyable. Carmen and Yen looked after the food and it was exceptional. Beautiful homemade curries and samosas for dinner, homemade granola for breakfast. Yoga on offer is varied and enjoyable especially Gennys session. Canoeing was a real adventure with choppy waters along Lough Erne but Tim safely guided us ashore. I will be back!

I spent a lovely weekend at Lake Isle Retreat on a Canoeing and Yoga Retreat. Tim was a lovely, affable host who made me feel very welcome and at home. The food was excellent: healthy, nuitritious and in copious amounts. My single room was simple but very comfortable and right beside one of the two communal bathrooms in the house. Weather conditions made the canoe trip on Lough Erne a bit more strenuous than anticipated, but Tim managed the situation very well and with alot of grace and ease. The yoga sessions were good and given by three different yoga teachers from the local area. Tim's meditation and chanting sessions were excellent and very relaxing. I especially enjoyed the optional Sound Therapy session on the Saturday evening. Early on Saturday morning, Tim brought the group over to the Hare Krishna Temple on Inish Rath in his rowing boat. I enjoyed witnessing the morning ceremony and the interesting talk given. I have been on many yoga retreats both in Ireland and abroad over the years and liked this retreat for its authenticity and simplicity. There was something for everyone, whether they were new to yoga and meditation or more experienced practicioners. …

I really enjoyed the yoga and mindfulness weekend retreat from 21st to 23rd of July. Tim was a brilliant host and the weekend was very well organised. The food was fantastic and the yoga and meditation classes were really enjoyable and relaxing. I would highly recommend Lake Island Retreats to anyone considering a weekend retreat.

I highly recommend this majestic place for anyone who is searching for peace, relaxation, and tranquility. Food is homemade, everything from scratch, and the vegetables are coming form their own garden. Tim and Yen are great hosts! I took Tim’s guided meditation class and he is very brilliant at what he does. Yen’s cooking is amazing! One can never have enough of her home cooked food and desserts. Also, do not missed out on her relaxing massage skills!

I went on an Ayurveda and yoga retreat to Lake Isle Retreats Friday to Sunday in April. Tim, who runs the retreats, is such a gentle soul and creates a warm, comfortable and welcoming stay. The Ayurveda tutor, Niamh, and the yoga teacher, Chrissie, were both so knowledgeable and friendly. The highlight of any stay for me is the wonderful food, all vegetarian, beautifully cooked. The atmosphere of camaraderie between the 9 retreat attendees was palpable. Lovely comfortable, warm and clean rooms with nothing but bird song to break the silence. Amazingly such a wonderful place is presented at a price within everyone's budget. I prefer genuine warm-heartedness and care to flash and bling. Some other retreats spend a fortune on advertising then the client pays through the nose for this. The group enjoyed a fantastic sound bath by Sukhada and there were many other treatments/therapies available. Also there was the option of taking the ferry the short journey across the lough on Sunday to Inish Rath island with its lovely grounds and temple. Lake Isle Retreats is a wee gem in a beautiful, peaceful and totally secluded part of south Fermanagh. I'd highly recommend it.…

Well where do I start. So much about this Detox weekend break at Lake Isle. Tim is such a gentle soul and that permeates the whole approach and weekend. Whilst we experienced a full weekend of activities, the whole experience was chilled and calm. The food was exceptional...nutritious and very very tasty...and loads of it!! All the therapists/teachers were lovely and our group dipped into all the different therapies on offer with great success. Whilst there was a full programme of activities we were able to dip in and dip out to suit ourselves (we all dipped in though!). Walks in Florence Court and around the Hare Krishna Island were fabulous even if the weather was typical Fermanagh soft mist... Can highly recommend this retreat....

You have to visit Lake Isle Retreats. Set in a beautiful part of Enniskillen nestled on the river Erne. I joined the relax and restore weekend, and by Sunday I was floating! Meditation, Yoga (suitable for all levels) forest walks, AMAZING vegetarian food, endless herbal teas and great chats with a bunch of beautiful people from all walks of life searching for some peace. Tim and Yen are wonderful at what they do, whether that’s visual meditation, holistic therapy, guiding and cooking. We were well looked after. The rooms were comfortable, and the place was really clean. Bonus – included in the weekend was two visits to the temple on the island and a Sunday feast, we got to see how the people live and celebrate life. Will be back 😊
