Shergarh is extraordinary: a beautiful lodge, meticulously cared for by a kind and gracious staff, providing expert naturalist guides, and located right next to one of India's premier parks, Kanha Tiger Reserve. I have visited ecolodges on five continents, and Shergarh is truly one of the finest.

We were in december 2016 staying for 4 nights at Shergarh at the end of our tour in India. We loved everything there: the staying, the food, the fireplace, the outdoor lunches, the silence of the place, our tent, the good guide. We had some nice safaris, including the ones outside Kanha National Park. We were lucky to see a...

One word that came to mind as we followed the narrow track through the prairie like grass, over the bamboo bridge towards the clearing with a cozy, what can only be described as rustic chic, cottage in the middle of it - magical! We were soon introduced to the lovely Katie and her daughter Ella and their two dogs Mowly...

Shergarh is just superb. Jehan was a caring and considerate host. Katie was very good on the upfront logistics. Raj and Son, the two guides are both fantastic. The main house and the tents are tastefully done, and the fireplace and evening campfire is a superb touch after a day out on Safari. Each one of the staff members is...

LOVED this place. A real tented camp experience with all the luxury you need. Only 6 tens so there are a very limited number of guests staying at any given time. Comfy beds and baths, peaceful and private patios overlooking a small lake. The common room has a lovely fireplace surrounded by couches/chairs for evening snacks, drinks and for chatting...

The tented accommodation is around the side of the lake. It is a very pretty setting tastefully arranged. The accommodation is excellent with a tented bedroom attached to...

Staying here is not like being in a hotel, more like staying with friends, albeit those who organise exciting safaris and look after your every need! A delightful setting with comfortable tents and real attention to every detail - hot showers, hot water bottles in bed and on early morning safaris, delicious meals and unlimited tea, coffee and soft drinks...

This was the best experience of our 8 month Asia trip. We saved separately in order to spend two nights here and although there was no tiger (saw a leopard though!) It was a magnificent stay with great safaris. Best room (tent) we have stayed in ever! Great food great company and the staff are absolutely wonderful. Could not have...

I stayed at Shergarh for a couple of nights in April. Katie and Jehan were excellent hosts. It was worth staying there just to get to know them. Fortunately, there were several other great reasons to stay there as well. The Tent was comfortable, cool and quiet. The other staff were friendly and helpful. The naturalists were knowledgeable and enthusiastic....
