Shergarh is a luxury camp on the edge of the Kanha nature reserve. There is a large central building for meetng and eating with tables and chairs outside overlooking a small lake. The tented accommodation is around the side of the lake. It is a very pretty setting tastefully arranged. The accommodation is excellent with a tented bedroom attached to... More

Staying here is not like being in a hotel, more like staying with friends, albeit those who organise exciting safaris and look after your every need! A delightful setting with comfortable tents and real attention to every detail - hot showers, hot water bottles in bed and on early morning safaris, delicious meals and unlimited tea, coffee and soft drinks... Out naturalist Sonsingh was a local and knew the jungle like his backyard. He is very enthusiastic about the jungle beyond the tigers. We did t get the morning safari on kne dah and went... More

This was the best experience of our 8 month Asia trip. We saved separately in order to spend two nights here and although there was no tiger (saw a leopard though!) It was a magnificent stay with great safaris. Best room (tent) we have stayed in ever! Great food great company and the staff are absolutely wonderful. Could not have... More

I stayed at Shergarh for a couple of nights in April. Katie and Jehan were excellent hosts. It was worth staying there just to get to know them. Fortunately, there were several other great reasons to stay there as well. The Tent was comfortable, cool and quiet. The other staff were friendly and helpful. The naturalists were knowledgeable and enthusiastic.... More

This was our third trip to Shergarh and we are definitely going back. We had a magical 4 days with some super sightings. Everything was perfect... From the accommodations , the food and especially the people. The staff are always so courteous and obliging, the tents are spotlessly clean and spacious, the food was very tasty home cooked food. Whatever reviews we had read about the SHERGARH experience was very successful in zeroing down on this property for yet another wildlife vacation. Many thanks for the cherished memories to Katie, her wonderful kids Kai and Ella, naturalist Raj, cook & the attendants, and last but not the least Jehan (whom we missed meeting). We were two families with a... More

The tent was huge and the bed was very comfortable. There was always plenty of hot water for showers. Everything was spotless with plenty of fresh drinking water supplied twice a day. The lodge setting is beautiful, with lakes and trees to give shade. Katie and Jehan are charming and thoughtful hosts. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The... More

We spent 5 nights here at this wonderful place. Like other reviewers before it is hard to explain in words just how different and special it is..it is all down to Katie and Jehan's vision which means that you stay in lovely private and comfortable accommodation set around a small lake, where you are welcomed as part of their family... We had a wonderful stay here for 3 nights, and were lucky enough to see a tiger on 2 of our 5 safaris, the final sighting being an excellent one. We found the tented bedrooms to be beautiful with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. Blissfully cool at night with all the windows open (it was around 40C in the days),... More
