We had an amazing two night stay at Jinpyokaku. Our room had 4 divided rooms in traditional japanese style with a private onsen. Excellent bath and cosmetic products. Public bath is amazing with a mixed sex outdoor area and womens only outdoor area. There are only 6 rooms which means you often will have the baths to yourself. The staff...

Perfect place to stay when visiting the Jigkudani Monkey reserve in Yudanaka Onsen as it is right next to the main car park The Ryokan in itself is well worth a visit beautiful Japanese style rooms, with private onsen on the balcony. Fantastic modern bathrooms. The most beautiful outdoor communal baths, set in the rocks - it was snowing when...

We were so fortunate to stay and relax at Jinpyokaku, so close to the Monkey Park – you couldn’t stay any closer, it seems! The folks who run Jinpyokaku were some of the most hospitable and thoughtful people I have met while traveling! They picked us up from Yudanaka station and lent us boots for the muddy / icy hike...

It's in a tiny hamlet next to the monkey park. To get to it you take the Shinkansen bullet train to Nagano, and then the light electric train to Yudanaka. From Yudanaka it's a ten-minute trip by car, and they will collect you. The owner runs a tight ship and has exquisite taste. She does all of the cooking, and...

My husband and I stayed for two nights here and have never felt so well looked after, even at five star hotels. We let reception know our arrival time and the driver picked us up from Yudanaka station. The very kind lady who looked after us was incredible helping us to plan our day (including directions to a brewery with...

We spent 2 nights at Jinpyokaku and felt very sorry when we had to leave. It was one of the more expensive splurges on our honeymoon in Japan, but it was absolutely worth it for a unique and enjoyable experience. The hotel is beautiful and charming, with gorgeous interiors and an amazing open air onsen (especially nice at night). Our...

We chose Jinpyokaku based on previous reviews and were certainly not disappointed. From the moment we were collected from the station until the morning we were returned we had a fantastic relaxing time. The staff(big thanks to Nishi) were so accommodating and pleasant, and genuinely friendly. The food was a highlight and I must say we struggled on all occasions...
