My husband and I stayed for two nights here and have never felt so well looked after, even at five star hotels. We let reception know our arrival time and the driver picked us up from Yudanaka station. The very kind lady who looked after us was incredible helping us to plan our day (including directions to a brewery with... More

We spent 2 nights at Jinpyokaku and felt very sorry when we had to leave. It was one of the more expensive splurges on our honeymoon in Japan, but it was absolutely worth it for a unique and enjoyable experience. The hotel is beautiful and charming, with gorgeous interiors and an amazing open air onsen (especially nice at night). Our... More

We chose Jinpyokaku based on previous reviews and were certainly not disappointed. From the moment we were collected from the station until the morning we were returned we had a fantastic relaxing time. The staff(big thanks to Nishi) were so accommodating and pleasant, and genuinely friendly. The food was a highlight and I must say we struggled on all occasions... More

An absolute highlight of our magical trip to Japan. This was a treat for us because we wanted to find a small ryokan with an outdoor onsen and relax after Tokyo so we spent a bit (a lot) more than we did for our first night in the area (we stayed in Shibu onsen town). We arrived at Jinpyokaku after... More

We stayed for 2 nights at Jinpyokaku in December 2015. The location was most convenient for visiting the Snow Monkey Park, which we could fit into the afternoon of our arrival. (very efficient use of our short 2 days) The team of Nishi San and Sato San, as well as the owner's son provided us not just with courteous service,... More

We were treated like Royalty! Nishi took care of us for incredible breakfast and dinner. Probably the best food we ever had! The area was amazing. Very close to Snow Monkey area. Overall an experience not to be missed. The meals were prepared with utmost care by the owner/chef who was a wonderful lady (not much English ) The room... More

We stayed at Jinpyokaku for 2 nights in July. The hotel is absolutely amazing! The meals are wonderful, not only delicious but beautifully presented. All of the ingredients are the highest quality. Nishi was so nice and so helpful to explain all we needed to know regarding how to use our private open air bath and how to put on... More

We all agreed that we made a big mistake not to stay at least two nights. Everything was perfect a highlight of our Japanese adventure. The hand drawn menu explanation to the private and public baths within the small compound of just 6 suites means you can have a private and full Japanese cultural experience. The food was heavenly -... More

Having stayed at numerous hotels in Japan over the years, Jinpyokaku and the wonderful people who run the ryokan, exceeded all expectations and gave an amazing experience that I will always remember. At Jinpyokaku, the rooms were comfortable, large and gorgeous, the onsen hot springs incredibly soothing, and the food included (Dinner & Breakfast) was out of this world. When... More

We stayed in three Ryokans across a two week stay in Japan and this one was far above the others. It's in a good location, right next to the snow monkey park. The food here is excellent, if you can't quite manage the full Japanese style breakfast in the morning, then they will bring you some toast and jam too.... More
