Unfortunately there are very limited accommodation choices in the tiny town of Trient. I think there is only one other hostel. Auberge Mont Blanc is very large and was fully occupied the night we stayed. We tried to book a triple room online but it was not possible so ended up booking two doubles. However one of the "doubles" actually...

There isnt a great deal of choice in Trient or La Forclaz for TMB or Haute Route walkers, and I think this is the best available, based on other people we saw. The rooms are pretty basic with just a bed and not many power sockets either. Toilets and bathrooms are shared. There did at least seem to be a...

The auberge is clean and in the town center after the pink church. Double room is simple, but clean and comfortable. No attached bathroom and toilet. Breakfast and dinner was provided. Fondue was surprisingly good to me.

This Auberge is the main place that travelers on the TMB stay if they choose Trient as a stop, so it is full of hikers from all over the world. It was the least well organized of any of the hotels and refuges from our trip. Many elements of the hotel were not functioning, such as some of the lights,...

Stayed in a dorm room with 5 others on a trek of the Mont Blanc trail. There were 3 bunk beds in the room. They were packed together so that the top and bottom formed one continuous surface each. Outside of the beds there was barely enough room to open the door. On this floor there was at least 10...

We stayed 1 night during our TMB hike. Unfortunately, this auberge is one of the only places to stay in Trient. Not sure if Trient can be avoided as a night to stay when hiking the TMB. Regardless, this place needs some much needed TLC. The property has definitely seen better days. Rooms are super small. We had a private...

Cons: - The building overall is run-down and lacking in maintenance - Our double room had a very obvious mold smell (seems to have been related to plumbing for an odd sort of kitchenette in the room) Pros: - Fondue dinner was good (fondue cheese poured over potatoes - not the dipping kind of fondue) - Breakfast was fine (basic...

We stayed here on a walking tour of Mont Blanc. Accommodation was a double room with a curious kitchen facility running down one side and a slightly fusty smell. Bed was comfortable though. Shared toilet and shower. Good hot water, storage, wifi. Food good- choice of two menus. Vegetarian was tomato fondue which was excellent. Breakfast was fine- basic continental but...

This "overnight machine " houses up to 130 Tour de Mont Blanc trekkers every night and is well organized to do it. The woman in the reception is the hardest working person I've seen in a long time and she does it all with humor. Good Swiss cooking served with precision. The experience would improve if they tripled the hot...

We stayed here after our 8th day of the TMB. Although we scored a double room, this property appeared to be in serious need of a face lift and cleaning. Staff was nice and helpful. Some guidebooks mention a grocery store but it has closed, Trient has a pink church and another inn next to the Auberge Mont-Blanc. If doing...
