I have just returned from a 5 day stay here for a Pilates holiday. The rooms, the setting & the welcome was fantastic. Mel’s food is so lovely and she puts so much effort into all the meals she prepares for you, nothing is too much for Mel. I’ve come home with lots of new recipes. Roger is just great too. The whole family are just lovely too. They all work so hard and it really shows how much they love having people staying and this lovely place they created. Thank you so much Mel, Andy, Roger & the children. Oh and not too forget Ruby the wonder dog & Billy the cat x
I stayed at Hotel de Candeloup as part of a yoga retreat and couldn’t have asked for more. A wonderful home from home in a perfect setting. Mel is a wonderful hostess and nothing is too much trouble. Great food, beautiful characterful rooms and lovely relaxing garden and pool area. Surrounded by wine farms and great drives out, Monein has a beautiful church and a visit to Oloron Sainte Marie is a must. Thank you Mel and family for a wonderful stay.
such a gorgeous place for peace & quiet. I visited this hotel as part of a wellness retreat. delicous healthy food and welcoming hosts. mel and faily really couldnt do egnough to make me feel relxed. the pool and seating is amazing with views of the mountains in the distance
Roger and his family have done a wonderful job renovating this property. However when we were there the place was swarmed by bees and it did ruin our experience at the property. I'm sure it was a "fluke" but it was not pleasant. Roger did bring in the beekeeper so the bees would return to hives.
I attended a yoga retreat at Ferme de Candeloup for a week, and the location, hospitality, food and setting couldn't have been better, Mel's cooking was amazing, and she seems to be able to cater for any dietary requirement. The Yoga room, and our bedroom (room 1), had lovely views with the pool just outside and mountains in the background. The wifi worked seamlessly, which helped me stay in touch. The vineyards behind the barn, were great for running : although it was a bit steep! I am already plotting my return.
