I highly recommend staying at this hotel. Even though communication could be difficult, the staff were wonderful and provided awesome service. They contacted us to find out what time we would be arriving at the bus station so that they could pick us up. The winter bus schedules ended for the season, so they drove us around to pick up...

My partner and I stayed here for 1 week and absolutely loved every moment of our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and so helpful. The rooms are traditional Japanese style and I can't forget to mention the Onsen with views of the Happo mountain. The food that is served for breakfast and dinner was also amazing, one set menu...

Comfortable and clean, this hotel is ideally placed to reach the bus terminal and surrounding ski fields. Service is done with a massive smile as the ladies and gentlemen that serve the patrons are friendly as one can be. The front desk lady was amazingly helpful and the men and women serving dinner and breakfast did so diligently and made...

We had some difficulty with communication but I take nothing away from a 5 star rating because A. that should be expected when travelling overseas and B. the staff were incredibly cheerful & helpful. We were a tad late when arriving in Hakuba however the staff didn't hesitate to drive us to a ski resort, or even drive us to...

I stayed here for a week as a big group of 7 people. Four parents, plus my husband and ski friend. Due to the everyone has different schedule, we kept changing the requirements on the room, but Marukita was very helpful and accommodate with our requirements. Their location is great, just 5 mins to the Happo bus station where you...

We travelled January 2015 and the Bergtour Marukita made for a great experience in Hakuba. The service and genuine friendliness of the staff was most welcoming. Their traditional Japanese breakfasts were delicious and delivered a great variety of interesting food each day. The location was close to the bus terminal which made for easy access to other resorts and was...

Located about 3 mins on foot from Happo bus terminal which basically serves the whole Hakuba ski areas. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful but any communication in English was a challenge. But they more than made up for the language barrier with their patience and hospitality. There is a Lawsons convenient stall at the road junction 5...

I can not speak highly enough about my week at Marukita! The food was very traditional and delicious, the onsen (outdoor and indoor) was beautiful with views of the night skiing in the background and the staff bent over backwards to help us out! Our room was traditional Japanese with tatami mats - super comfortable and very nice and warm!...
