What an awesome place! Great food, so close to the slopes, very friendly staff and overall a great atmosphere. We had a great time staying here we even changed our accommodation to come back and stay longer. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Travelled with my partner (it was our first time in Japan) and a friend in March 2016. After a long flight (6 hours) and a long drive from Narita Airport to Hakuba (6 hours), we arrived at the lodge at about 8.30pm. Service was great! We got a quick overview and tour of the lodge, before Jen offered to drop... More

I stayed here for 6 nights and found the staff to be very nice and very helpful. They walk you to your room and point out the facilities as you go. There is a ski/snowboard hire shop in the Lodge which makes life so easy!! There is a bar right out the front (that serves food) and is the breakfast... More

The staff were so helpful they went out of their way to assist any way that they could- over and above service for which we are very grateful to have received. Everything was clean and tidy and there was a great community feel among guests and staff. There was even jars of Vegemite on each table at breakfast :)

We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment in December 2015. It was early in the season and we didn't get much snow but the staff were all welcoming and made sure we were looked after. This included driving us to the nearest snow a few times. They even provided a big breakfast at 5am on the day we were leaving,... More

We stayed in January 2016 for 8 nights. As a family of 4 (4 yr old + 6 yr old) we had a big basement room with ensuite and basic kitchenette. The accommodation was clean, staff friendly, the washing machine/dryers awesome and the daily breakfast was perfect. Just be aware that the floors and walls are very thin which can... More

Never been to hakuba before so followed trip advisor reviews . Penke panke was great , clean rooms, fun atmosphere , good food (and kitchen for when needed). And service worthy of 5*. Including transport around town to fix broken credit card . Generally all round great.

We were on our second trip to Hakuba and we tried to stay at the excellent lodge (also managed by the same guys as manage PP) again but could only get 3 days, so accepted a further 3 days at Penke Panke. Maybe if we'd come here first we would have liked it better - because it's a pretty good... More

We stayed for 2 weeks with our 8 year old and 3 month old and I would happily recommend it. The lodge has all the trappings of a large lodge but has managed to retain the homely/welcoming feel of a smaller lodge through its excellent personalised customer service. The kitchens were a big plus for us and we used their... More
