Staying here was the highlight of our Japan trip. Quaint temple with welcoming monks and large rooms. Dinner was wonderful-who knew you could make such tasty food with no butter, onions or garlic. Breakfast was not what I'm used to. But the whole experience was wonderful. Make sure you have time to visit okunoin cemented both when it's light and...

No food options, it is what it is...so don't go if that will annoy you. We enjoyed the experience, but...

A bit of travelling required to reach Koyasan but I would recommend taking the time. Our family group with 2 adult children all enjoyed the experience of staying here. The meals were excellent. Beautifully presented. The morning prayer was interesting. Make sure you visit Okunoin, a highlight.

They allowed us to check in early and gave is some umbrellas for when we went for a stroll around the town in the rain. The baths were great, the food was unexpectedly great (unless you are a picky eater) and...

We travelled in a group of 22 people and wonderful experience staying in Fudoin temple for 3 nights. Although the weather was cold but still bearable. The temple was old but the surroundings were peaceful and tranquil. The breakfast and dinner were fantastic. We had early morning prayer service with the head monk who speak good english. He explained patiently...

“I was in the Sakura room which has a wifi router right outside the door so the connection is really good and fast. No amazing view but really close to the stairs and easy to get around to.”
