I stayed here for 4 nights. They put me in the old wing the first night becuase the hotel was nearly full. The room was cramped, dingy and old. I moved to a new wing the next day and the room was larger and brighter, quite acceptable for a Chinese hotel in a remote area. The breakfast buffet was extensive,...

This hotel was so called the only 5 Star hotel in Wutai Mountain, and it may rightly be so when they were built. A few things one must be prepared when you checked in the hotel. Firstly, this hotel is big in term of number of rooms and the layout is horizontal and wide spread, hence moving around within the...

Rating of this hotel is a joke. There is no WiFi in room in this so-called 5 stars. We arrived with my wife around 12:00 and they gave us a room that was not cleaned. The hotel is a maze and there is no elevator. TV is very old (not a flat panel TV). We had only one towel for...

The warm air that greeted us was a welcome feeling as we came in from the bitter cold. The large reception area was smoky even though there were no smoking signs. WiFi: Complimentary and available only in the reception area. Bedroom: Our bedroom was on the 3rd floor and we had to walk up steps all the way. There are...

We supposedly stayed in the 5 -star wing . The room is nice with quiet mountain view but the washroom is in such a sorry state that it hardly warrants a 2-star. Breakfast choices is very limited. Outside telephone calls can not be trasferred to the room phone. A hotel staff actually came to our room & relay the message...

The hotel was ok, with clean and fairly comfortable room. The restaurant was so-so, with edible food, but no English menu and not very helpful staff, no coffee at breakfast and noisy presentations of "paintings" during meals. So if possible, eat elsewhere. All in all, it was a rather anonymous, mass tourism affair. I would not necessarily recommend staying at...

Stayed one night only in this delightful hotel, Breakfast were fairly geared toward the Domestic market, but it was still very nice. I dont travel to always eat whatI cna have at home. Apart from that it was warm and comfortable. With the usual chinese fairly hard bed. Good hotel for not a major city.

This is a huge hotel close to the main temples of Mt. Wutai. Rooms were down a warren of passages but were neat and clean and the heating worked very well - if not too well. The walls had special boxes which open directly to the outside of the building to let in cooling air. Breakfast was not catered towards...
