Excellent resort, great location with stunning views, lovely atmosphere, wonderful staff and 5 minutes walk into Ong Lang village. The breakfast is superb one of the best I’ve had anywhere, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables/salads and cooked foods. Big spacious, bright and clean bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Lovely salt-water pool at the beach with a beach side bar/restaurant. My only gripe was the stinginess of the drinking water supply, one small bottle per day per person, and the daily changing of towels, once or twice a week is enough, ditto the bedding.

I went here for a holiday with my boyfriend and another friend couple. We actually loved everything here. We booked only for 3 days but we extended for a week, meant we love this place. The room (also the washroom) was nice, clean and spacing with the ocean view from the balcony, always smell nice with lemongrass essential oil. We don't like AC so we opened the window to sleep for fresh air, so with the oil helped alot in avoiding mosquitos in the room. Breakfast was amazing, a big plus with so many choices and most of them changed everyday, especially felt in love with fresh juices. We came here to escape the rain from other cities that were affected by the storm at that moment, it was sunny on this island but we so enjoyed staying in the area without going out much. The area of the resort is also wonderful with alot of greens, especially fruit trees such as star fruits and passion fruits. We also enjoyed alot the spa, the restaurant and the swimming pool, and the services.

Strongly recommend!

We booked our stay last minute after our previous resort cancelled. It was a blessing as the Camia was like a beautiful dream. We were picked up from the airport and when we arrived for check-in given refreshments. Our room was very well priced and look over the sea. It was clean and spacious with a well needed air conditioning.

The hotel has two swimming pools one in the beautiful greeny of the garden and the the other on the beach. We spent mist of our days by the beach pool. It was 30c plus in our stay but the breeze help us stay cool. The hotel also has kayaks you an borrow for free.

All the food in the buffet breakfast was delicious the spread was the best I have ever seen from fresh fruit and jucies to a salad bar, breads and pastries, all the continental options and then rows of hot options and egg and noodle stations. Being vegan I was very impressed with the options I could choice from, they even made soya and peanut milk on site. As the staff one wof my requirements they did offer to make me hot options but I didn't need it. The food in the main restaurant was convenient as it was so hot to walk down the hill into the main street but prices were higher than outside the resort. This is to be expected. All food was beautifully presented and again they were happy to alter dishes to suit me.

We stayed over women's day and the spa offered a buy one get one free so we both had full body massages 60 minutes for a total of £20.

On our last day the staff we amazing. They checked us out and then let us stay by the pool and us a wiatinh room shower to freshen up before they took us to the airport. All the staff had amazing English, were super nice and always wanted to help but never overpowering.

Thank you so much for making our stay so relaxing and looking after us. We hope to come back soon.

Camia has a number of positives but they are outweighed by the negatives. There is a lot of room for improvement but seems like management is just cutting corners as the disappointing points wouldn’t be so hard to fix...

The bad/disappointing points:
1) Gym is pathetic with NO AIR-CONDITIONING and only two little fans which don’t help much. It is like a sauna in the “gym” and I doubt many people could stay in there more than 5-10 minutes.
2) Running machine is BROKEN AND UNUSABLE. Some people may not care but those looking to get a quick run in will be very disappointed. False advertising showing photos of the equipment when it is unusable.
3) “Kids room” is more like a little prison cell for bad children. It’s just a tiny room with super dirty carpet and with a few children’s items thrown in the corner to made a photo appear like there is a decent kids room. Again, false advertising.
4) No slippers provided in the room. Come on. This is a no brainer to provide. Just management cutting corners.
5) Bathroom had a terrible sewage smell every morning which was not very pleasant to wake up to...
6) Breakfast was pretty bad. Egg station and local soup noodles are good as they cook on request but most of the other stuff at the buffet was sub-par, dry, or just plain bad.
7) ocean front restaurant has a nice view and atmosphere but the food wasn’t so good. We only ate there once as none of our group of four enjoyed the food. Options in town were better.
8) If you have a room at the top of the resort be prepared for a very steep walk up and down to the beachside pool. This gets pretty old and tiring after a couple of times so msure to ask them for a ride up and down on the cart.

The good points:
1) oceanfront pool is great with an amazing view.
2) sunset views are spectacular
3) free kayak available which was nice

Other:
1) highly recommend getting a scooter and making the 45 minute drive to starfish beach. That was a great and memorable experience.

Dear Mr. Zousan, Firstly, thank you for posting your comment on Tripadvisor community. We appreciate for the time you have taken to write for us your opinion and will consider carefully. Secondly, we have already installed an air conditioner in the gym and have the maintenance who come to check every week. We are sorry if you didn't get the nice experience with our machines. Thirdly, we are delighted when receiving both positive and negative review. Furthermore, we understand that every brand new resort is having the advantage or disadvantage, and of course we never forgot or cut the bad things as you mentioned before. We are making business and if we did it, we wouldn't have the number of guest, room or at least the review. Finally, from your number 4 to number 8, it would be really nice if you could tell us and gave us a chance to better serving you. Nonetheless, you didn't say anything although we have Customer Service or each of Head of Department in our resort. In conclusion, we believe that "Nothing is impossible; there are ways that lead to everything", so we hope to have an opportunity to welcome you back and make sure your stay at that time would be the perfect one. Sincerely yours, Nancy Le (Ms.) Customer Service Manager

We was told at check-in you could not get all-inclusive at check-in if you have made your resavation via Booking.com. All food and beverage is by cash pay, at every meal and it’s very expencive.

The hotel is remodly located there is no restaurants nearby, except if you take a taxi to Duang Dong city.
Your stay Can get very expencive, there is no supermarked 10 km. Around, if you prefer to buy something.

Vinpearl hotel have nice sandy beach, and it was nice an clean, staff was working daily to clean beach for plastic and other trash.

Vinpearl Hotel room was nice and clean, and nice view to the sea, even we not have booked a room with seaview.

If you look at Vinpearl Spa & Resort Hotel and the booking price, I thing you get more value for you mony, if you chose another 5 star hotel.

Dear Mr./Ms. Steen, Thank you for spending your busy schedule to write this feedback. Firstly, we would like to confirm about any service which used in our resort, will be paid by credit card, cash or sign on the bill and put on the system with the in-house guests. We are sorry if you didn't know about this information. Secondly, our location just takes 15 minutes to the main town and it's 5 to 7 minutes to the supermarket nearby. In addition, there is K-Mart supermarket at the main road where easy to see for everybody. Thirdly, we are totally happy to welcoming and serving all of the guest. Besides, it would be very nice if they could tell us more details when having any problem done by us during the stay or at least leaving us by a review. Nonetheless, we have received your comment right now not only Camia Resort & Spa but also the other resort, where we do not have any experience or making any same project with them. Please understand for the differences of each resort's concept on the island. You can share your opinion with the other travelers all over the world but it is not fair if you gave us a negative remark due to your comfortable stay in another place. FINALLY, WE BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU WERE MENTIONED IN THIS FEEDBACK JUST MEAN YOU DIDN'T STAY IN OUR RESORT OR USING ANY SERVICE AT OUR PROPERTY. In short, we hope these will not detract your overall perception of Camia Resort & Spa, and that you would consider coming to stay with us in your next time to Phu Quoc island. Thanks with best regards, Nancy Le (Ms.) Customer Service Manager

We stayed for just over a week in a deluxe seaview room. The views from our balcony over the well maintained gardens towards the sea were fabulous. The staff are all very keen to ensure you have a enjoyable stay. My husband has a few mobility issues and we were offered lifts around the resort in the cart as the resort is on a slope looking towards the sea. Breakfast was a lovely start to the day and the fresh juices in the little bottles and my freshly cooked omelette were delicious. Nancy Le was always there to help resolve any issues or make recommendations on where to visit. Just be aware that there is no real beach at the resort. There is a lovely area with a saltwater infinity pool, near to the restaurant and bar which has sand and loungers. The hotel is conveniently located a 10 minute walk (down a hill) from the village, so this gives additional options outside the hotel for drinks and dinner, especially if you are staying for a longer time. Overall, we throughly enjoyed our stay and miss the fabulous sea views.

We stayed there as two couples for about a week in two Deluxe Rooms (one with garden view and the other one with sea view). Rooms were very clean and nice, appeared to be fairly new. Bed were huge and very comfortable.
This place has two nice swimming pools, a restaurant with good food and a second restaurant where we had a great breakfast every morning (large choice of really good food).
I would definitely go back there and also recommend that place to others!

After much research we choose to stay at the Camia and what a find! After arriving early morning I initially thought that we were a long way from the centre of the action Duong Dong, where the vast majority of the restaurants were located. On our first night we ventured 20 or so minutes in the taxi to join the throngs of people, this was our first and last time doing this!
We then discovered what the Ong Lang had to offer, as well as he excellent hotel food / bbq on the waters edge. I have been in the hospitality industry for 38 years and whilst not a 5 star luxury resort, (it doesn't pretend to be) it is welcoming, every member of staff wanted to look after you and the food and bev was very good.
Local restaurants included Mai Jo 10 minute walk from the hotel (ate there 3 times) So Ture, and a couple of others. The cocktail bar GOGO art had amazing cocktails but was very disjointed in where it is in life, not cheap in comparisson to other bars.

Trips out - day tour in an American Jeep as recommended by the hotel fantastic. How was our drivers name and worth every Dong.
Also we took an 3 island boat trip again recommended - excellent day out. We were the only Europeans but made very welcome.

Also close to the hotel is a bigger beach Ong Lang 15 minute walk. Some reviews say was unkempt and dirty.....we didnt see any rubbish and not crowded at all. The guy selling the bbq sweetcorn is a star and how expensive at 25p a cob!

We do not normally go back to an area but we are now planning another trip.
You wont be disappointed

Dear Mr. John & Ms. Clare, Warmest greetings from Camia Resort & Spa! First of all, thank you very much for choosing our resort for your long holiday and spending time to post this wonderful review. It is difficult to express our feeling right now because of your sweet words. You are not only the guest but also a teacher who were trained for us a lot when you stayed here. Next, you are absolutely right! Our location is easily to go out or find something interested in for the guest who would love to discover the nature and enjoy at different beaches. The distance isn't a big problem and it also depends on our thinking. Likewise, we are so glad to reed your good feedback and we are sure our entire team will take it as a big effort for them to continue striving to deliver an exceptional service and a fabulous stay for all our guests. All in all, thank you once again for upgrading our Traveler ranked and endorsing us a lot by the true remark, and we hope we will have the cheerfulness of welcoming "the GM and his family next year" ;). However, we hope you can understand for this area, especially Ong Lang area is the good place for relaxation and peacefulness. It means there are many restaurants and some of bars but it still have the suitable closed time everyday, except for public holiday in Vietnam. We hope it will not detract your overall perception of Camia Resort & Spa, and that you would consider staying with us the next time when you visit Phu Quoc island again. The location and the grounds are unreal, the room is spacious and has beautiful views (even if it wasn't a beach front room). It feels secluded and lost in the middle of the jungle, but it's only a short drive away from town if you fancy a walk around the night market. There's two swimming pools one up at the beginning of the property with incredible views of the jungle and the sea, and another one just by the sea with also espectacular views of the sunset. The restaurant by the beach serves pretty decent food at relatively fair prices and an unbeatable location, being able to dine on the wooden deck right by the sea.

In case this wasn't enough to make the perfect stay, the staff here went far and beyond to look after us, specially the ladies who run reception. Before arriving to the property I had an accident that left me with a broken foot and here they made sure I was looked after at all times and also got in touch with every pharmacy in the island to find me a pair of crutches and a splint for my foot. I have not enough words to say how grateful I am for them.
