Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Bucolic perfectly describes the environment of Casale Villa Raino. Sheep and cowbells can be seen and heard in the distance. The hotel and rooms are quaint. It’s well said the rooms are basic clean and comfortable. Swimming pool area is beautiful and large. Cats are plentiful. The food is plentiful, sensual and you will be sad that you have no more room in your stomach to eat more! We were the only people staying there that were not Italian. Aldo doesn’t speak much English but his beautiful daughter does.

We spent one night here while walking across the National Park. It was the best hotel we stayed in. The staff are extremely friendly - they could not have been kinder and gave us masses of help with our trip, before, during and even after our visit. Our dinner was simply excellent (and very good value) and the breakfast was great too (superb pastries, delicious jams, etc). Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, with good pillows and beds, and spotlessly clean. The hotel is beautifully situated with fine views from the terrace, and it has a lovely traditional atmosphere. We would definitely go back, maybe next time to try the pool (it wasn't warm enough to swim the night we arrived).

We stayed for 2 nights. Aldo, the owner, was very nice and effective. We also ate breakfast and supper which were also very good. The rooms are renovated and clean. Thre is a great balcony with a fantastic view of the Sicilian valley.

Unassuming old country house hotel well away from the city centre with clean basic rooms and oh so charming hosts who could not do more for you. The home cooked dinner was amazing, so delicious, and the different dishes just kept on coming. Very tranquil, great sleep.

The meals were wonderful, with great fresh, local food. There were many courses and it just kept coming. The accommodation was great, warm, large, and georgeous. The hospitality was charming. 5 stars to you Aldo and all at Villa Raino.

Forget about the big cities and step into the Sicilian countryside! No traffic...just the occasional cowbell in the distance. Staying at Villa Raino is truly an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. Rooms are spacious and clean. But the best part of staying here is the food! Aldo does a wonderful job of preparing breakfast and dinner typical to this part of Sicily (ie, it is not a seaside village). Everything is fresh and plentiful....you won't go away hungry!!

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights at the start of a 2 centre holiday but wished we could have stayed longer. It's a lovely, old, renovated farmhouse in the Sicilian countryside. It's easy to drive to but it is a bit off the beaten track. The room was rustic but perfect for the location and setting. The views from the balcony and the patio outside are stunning and worth the journey on their own. We ate in the restaurant on the first night then again on the second night as it was such a good experience. The antipasti was sumptuous and it just kept coming. The pasta dish was so well flavoured and again, there was loads of it. The meat course was veal meatballs with a great sauce. The second night's food was the same kind of thing but the flavours and sauces were different. A litre of the house wine was just 3 euros. Staff and owners were welcoming and genuinely wanted to make sure we had a good time and didn't go hungry! It's well worth seeking out and if you're looking for an authentic Sicilian stay, this is just for you.

We had a wonderful stay here - a beautiful setting looking up to the little town of a Gangi. Rooms were very comfortable, views were amazing, but most of all Aldo's cooking was without doubt the best food I have eaten in Italy!

The family have created a comfortable hotel by renovating a historic country villa. It lies in the plain with the hilltop town Gangi rising above it. Our rooms was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Meals were of delicious local produce prepared and served cheerfully in true family style. The terrace with birdsong under ancient trees was delightful and the swimming pool refreshing.

Local family run this Agritourism business, a sort of farm-stay. The welcome was amazing. Met several family members, and they couldn't do enough to make us comfortable. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. We were travelling with a group so all of our meals were together and the food was fantastic and plentiful.
