I've spent one night there at the end of September when this little summer mountain village gets pretty empty. In the middle of this inspiring environment, this is a great place to stay: cheap but clean rooms in front of the lake (one bed to dorms) with a good restaurant (essentially offering Swiss specialties - but not tourist stuff, lot...

We stayed here while doing the Tour du Mont Blanc. The hotel is situated on the lake, so their outdoor deck was a great spot to sit and relax after a long day hike. We stayed in a dormitory room which was clean and comfortable. Even though the hotel was full we never had to wait for a bathroom or...

Ideal location and right on the lake. Had dorm accommodation, all very clean. Delicious breakfast and staff truly helpful. Loved it. Easy to find when doing TMB. Right in the centre of town. It's quaint. I went down to Restaurant across road to get wi fi.

Slept in dorm, which was fine. Could hang clothes to dry in or outside. No wifi, you have to pay for some card, forget it. You can eat there, there was a choice of fondue (bread with melted cheese...) or minced chicken, but I would just look in the restaurants nearby, one had pizza which is probably better.

This place is located on the shores of Lake Champex and was our 2nd night trekking the Haute Route. It's right in the little city and has several restaurants nearby (many closed as this is the end of the trekking season). It's a funky little place but very friendly and perfectly adequate. We all shared a room (5 of us)...

This was the only disappointing accommodation on our TMB from Courmayeur to Les Houches. It was overpriced, comparing very poorly with other venues of similar cost. If no drinks were ordered at dinner, tap water was to be charged CHF 3! Breakfast was stressful, with the assistant popping in and out all the time, topping up scant supplies of juice...

Four of us stayed (1/2 board) here while doing the Tour du Mont Blanc in mid August. We got a very friendly reception and enjoyed the lovely outdoor decking area for beers. Ended up with a room to ourselves which was great. Shared but spacious bathroom, no shortage of hot water. Dinner was in their restaurant with table service. The...

We spent the night there while walking the Haute Route in June 2013. It is well situated and popular. Our "dortoir" room had six beds and we were charged 69 SF for bed, dinner and breakfast which was pretty good. Our bathroom did not have a shower which would have been popular as many people were queueing up to use...
