A very friendly, clean and well kept guest house where you will receive a friendly welcome and where nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities, and fresh milk if you request it. The En- suite shower and toilet were small but there was plenty of hot water and had a...

We stayed here to visit friends & found an extremely friendly owner, who really, does like to chat! Our room was adequate in size & was clean & comfortable. The dinning room very nice, did feel slightly rushed at breakfast & we had to order the night before, but never less would go again especially as its so handy for...

Stayed here for two nights. The weather was dreadful but the stay at Beech Tree made up for it. John is quite a character and rightly proud of his B&B. There is even a guest lounge. With good wifi and excellent parking we could not fault this guest house.Would like to return in the future.

We stayed here for the weekend. The owner made it quite clear to us in no uncertain terms, the kitchen will be closed at 8.45am and you must get here for breakfast before then. He insisted on showing our party around the rooms, after getting us to watch him how to lock the front door quite a few times. When we...

We stayed at the Beech Tree for 2 nights recently. A return visit after many years, and we were not disappointed. The warm welcome when you arrive extends right through until it is time to check out. The room we were given was very small but had everything you needed including a small flat screen tv, tea and coffee making facilities and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Breakfast was very good and included fruit, muesli...

We recently stayed at The Beech Tree for a couple of nights, the Hotel is small only 6 rooms, but this is its beauty, we had a twin room, it was very comfortable, ensuit, television, coffee & tea facilities, the full English breakfast was excellent, good choice of alternatives if needed. The owner made us feel very welcome, he also...

Perfectly located for our wedding in Highcliffe Castle. Immaculately clean, everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Our hosts Nina and John went out of our way to may our stay welcoming. Nina even insisted on running us to the train station for our homeward journey. Deliciously cooked breakfast as much toast as you wanted. John is in charge and...

As a solo traveller I had the smallest of the rooms (Room 4) but it was quite large enough with a double bed and plenty of space to move around. Everything was clean and fresh with multi-channel TV and a good supply of tea and coffee ingredients. Breakfast was very good with the full English being a good plate of...

“We were on 2nd floor now 3 which was probably quietess room. All rooms had triple glazing.”

“Triple glazing means noise free but no air conn, so if you leave windows open traffic noise is noticeable. We closed windows in the evening but left the skylight in the bathroom open.”
