A group of 12 of us stayed here for 2 nights. We arrived on motorcycles soaked through to the skin after a really wet day and we could not have been made more welcome. The hotel is family owned and it shows, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is a little dated in appearance but that is very soon...

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a cycling trip in Switzerland and it was fantastic. It is brilliantly located to get out to the Nufenen and Furka passes. The rooms are clean, quiet and spacious. The views are simply outstanding and Hilde is the perfect host. The Restaurant was very good too. We normally try to eat...

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Walliser Soone! We had a very last minute change to our plans and were extremely grateful to the hosts who were able to fit us in for a 2 night stay. When we arrived we received a really warm welcome by the hostess. The hotel is very homely and welcoming, the rooms although they...

The hotel is situated in a small hamlet set back off the valley road. It is a family run establishment and a warm welcome greats you. It has plenty of meeting rooms and a small bar. It is an unpretentious place that offers great value for money in very expensive Switzerland! Our bedrooms were large and adequate with fairly modern...

The booking had been already friendly and easy by e-mail with Peter Paul, member of the family who manage this Hotel Restaurant. Arriving, we are welcomed by Hylde, gentle and showing us immediatly the motorcycles park to protect them from a possible rain. Then, we discover the large and clean room with twin beds in good condition, The bathroom is...

We were delayed several hours by a road closure (snow - in late May) and we arrived after the proprietor had retired. Nevertheless, he was delighted to see us and greeted us warmly. All the local restaurants were closed and we hadn't eaten yet, but he opened the kitchen and prepared a quick meal for us. We had a good...

We stayed one night passing through the area and were very pleased with this traditional, family run ski lodge hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and our evening meal in the restaurant was very nice. Our only quibles were the service at breakfast, as the owners wife seem to struggle to stay on top and keep everything topped up...

Above the tiny farming village of Gluringen in the gorgeous Goms-valley you'll find this hospitable hotel The Place To Be: from the beautiful terrace you watch accross the valley towards the snowcapped summits of the Gotthard-massive of central Switzerland. Great place to immediately start walking or skiing and at the same at a few minutes drive from highlights like the...

Great hotel, friendly, helpful family who catered for the needs of a boisterous and sometimes noisy family of 5 adults and 5 children. Unfortunately there wasn't a cot for the baby. Comfortable and convenient for down hill ski lift and slope which was ideal for inexperienced skiers. Good home cooking. Convenient for station and the owner met us and took...
