The review is about Schynige platte Berghotel restaurant: I never had such worst experience with the cakes and coffee. First, when I ordered the cakes no one said that one our ordered cakes was from yesterday... Secondly the cake from yesterday has this very specific smell from fridge and from all the products which where there. It says something about...

We stayed here one night, and what a charming place!!! The views were absolutely incredible and waking up to the majestic grandeur of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau is not an experience to be missed. The room was charming! ( we stayed in the same room as Kev Reynolds!!😬). Dinner was splendid and we left the table filled to the...

We stayed one night on our 5-day hike around the Jungfrau region. This was a perfect start to our impending exertions as the food was great and the views were unbelievable! Our upper floor corner room (#7 i think) was sheep themed - very apt coming from Wales! Bathrooms were shared with other rooms but this was not a problem.

What a great spot. The cog railway up is beautiful and at the top the setting is picturesque. At night only the people staying at the hotel are there and you feel that you have it to yourself. The dinner was uniquely served and very tasty. Of course the hiking from the hotel was truly spectacular. Hard to say enough...

This is only a cafe review as the hotel is also the cafe and partly a resource centre. Still they did OK when they really should have closed ! Captive audience if course and some nice history boards that explain the development of the site.

Great location great service excellent food kind people. We were 2 adults and one teen on vacation. Perfect experience top to bottom. Price was well worth it. We had one double and one single room and it was lovely. When we arrived they helped us find a day hike and it was perfect. We also really enjoyed the views-- spectacular....

I cannot say enough about my friend's and my visit to this fine hotel and restaurant....the only hotel and restaurant at the end of a steeply uphill cog railway ride through some of the most scenic views in the Bernese Oberland. Our intention was to do day hikes for several days and, as guests of the hotel, our dinners and...

We spent one night here and sadly due to the weather were unable to enjoy the hoped-for views. Nveretheless the hotel is charming. A warm welcome and continued good service from Livia - thank you! We were actually the only guests in the hotel that night, but were still made to feel so very special. We loved the peace, tranquility...

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here to start of our multiday hike. There are not many drawbacks: the rooms are sweet and delightful, the facilities are great for a 'berghotel' (don't expect your own shower in your room in a berghotel), the food is good and most certainly plentyful, but it is on the expensive side, even...
