Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A perfect stop on our road trip, and the best breakfast of our whole vacation! Hosts could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The family bedroom was perfect - only wish we could’ve stayed longer. Do not miss this gem set in such beautiful countryside. A warm and happy stop.

Our family stayed for 2 nights in August whilst travelling the NC 500. When fondly remembering our trip recently realised I hadn't written a review and Lovecroft and owners deserve one! Lovely big, clean, comfortable rooms with beautiful views. Shared lounge area. Breakfast amazing! Such welcoming hosts with great local knowledge. Stunning beaches within easy reach and we enjoyed watching seals from a beach nearby. Would also recommend the Black Pearl in Gairloch for food. Would love to return. Thank you.

Stayed for 3 nights last week. Stephen greeted us and made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was done to make us warm, comfy and relaxed. I had the triple aspect room which was spotless and very comfortable with such lovely views. Breakfast was excellent, as much as you wanted, plus brought some delicious honey to take home. I would thoroughly recommend this gorgeous little treasure. Stephen and Janis are excellent hosts who deserve to continue doing well.

Stephen was fabulous and made us welcome. He sorted out any issues (Wi-Fi) very quickly. Our room was a family room and we had plenty of room and a choice of beds to choose from (a double and two singles). The views from the room were far reaching and amazing. The beds were very comfortable. The room was extremely clean. Massive bathroom and shower was great. Stephen also reserved a table for us at the local hotel down the road for our supper. Our breakfast was delicious. Really good stay and highly recommend this establishment.

Ideally situated for the NC 500. Beautiful location with some of the best views on the trip. Such a shame we were only staying for one night. Our room was very large with three different views! Very comfortable night's sleep and a great breakfast the next morning. The porridge was voted the best of the whole trip! Such a treat to have delicious honey produced by Stephen the host. There is a lovely welcoming pub/small hotel an easy short walk away. Really hope that we can return for longer next time, thanks for great hospitality.

Our room was exceedingly large with triple aspect. We could see the sea to the front and the hills behind. The bed was enormous and very comfortable. There was also a sitting room for guests with a fridge and big television. Breakfast was tasty and cooked well-delicious porridge to start. Friendly hosts too.

What a find , this lovely guesthouse is set is fantastic surroundings. The drive to it with spectacular scenery of western Scotland. We spent one night with Janis and Stephen and wouldn’t hesitate to return. The rooms are spotless and welcoming , Stephen welcomed us on arrival giving us great local knowledge on places to eat for evening meal. Best to book in advance as the area is very busy all year. Large choice of good food for breakfast so you certainly won’t start the day hungry. Highly recommended and would definitely suggest to friends and family.

Set on beautiful coastline, the Love Croft is set just back off the main road, so lovely and peaceful. There are no evening meals provided to my knowledge but there are other places within close proximity. The shower was fantastic which I always look forward to. Ample parking just outside the property. An absolutely fantastic breakfast was served up which wasn’t on the small side, very tasty too. Fantastic, attentive, approachable hosts, very friendly place to stay. Room was clean and warm with a comfy bed.

We booked this accommodation at the last minute and was not disappointed. Received a warm welcome from Stephen & Janis. They do serve a very enjoyable breakfast and the views from the dining room are a great way to start your day. Great location to use as a base for a couple of days to see the nearby attractions. One experience we will not forget is seeing 5 little ducks going swimming 1 day that had recently been born and live on the pond which upon returning home as provided us with the opportunity to singalong with our 2 granddaughter’s to 1 of their favourite nursery rhymes.
