I have been going to the Elizabeth for several years now two or three times a year. I booked my three days and found that the previous owner had left. The new owners are in the middle of refurbishment giving it a more fifties look, and we're decorating on my arrival. The room was clean and completely redecorated all good.... More

Having read other reviews we were persuaded to try for ourselves....the rooms we had were more than adequate, very clean and bright. Our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating....we were a little disappointed with the breakfast, not quite continental more cereal, fruit or yogurts... none of which really appealed to us...we did have toast but as is came with some... So sorry you felt the breakfast wasn't up to scratch, we try to provide a good quality varied selection of food and would always be happy to refill coffee etc, we may have popped out for a short while but we generally check our guest to see if they have everything they need so if that didn't happen we apologise. If you read my previous review you will see how good this place was. It has now been sold to new owners and is completely different. the price has increased by 30% and there is no longer a cooked breakfast, instead there is a self service, very basic, continental breakfast. It is isn quite a pleasant retro room but if... More

We feel quite saddened at this review so would like to respond, the prices have increased a little, the previous owner was going to have a price increase anyway so we took her advice and noted then other local tariffs so followed suite. Our breakfast we feel is far from basic, we provide 4 types of fresh & stewed fruit,... More

Such a lot of care has been put into making this such a wonderful place to stay. So convenient. Beach nearby. Car Parking . Spotlessly clean. Comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. Delightful hosts - nothing is too much trouble. Jan

The owners are both very friendly and make you feel at home. The rooms are stunning. And only a couple of minutes from the beach. Would 100% recommend for families with young children as well as couples or travelling alone. Couldn't have asked for better and we will definitely be returning.

Under new ownership. The new hosts were friendly. The rooms were clean with coffee making facilities and basin. Not en-suite, but has two shower rooms/toilets and an additional toilet. Now offering a continental style breakfast.

Stayed for just one night over the bank holiday. Would definitely return for another peaceful night sleep. The guest house maintains high standards all round. More than adequate off street parking. Would highly recommend.

We stayed here for one night in late April. The room was big with shared bathroom facilities, but due to the number of guests this was not a problem. The rooms are immaculately clean and the beds are super comfy for a great night of sleep. The guest house is a short walk away from a great view of the... More
