Booked this for my husbands birthday and on arrival was told we had a free upgrade which was a great gesture. Very warm welcome, fantastic room with terrace and lovely views, large bathroom with bath and huge walk in shower, didn't find the bed or any of the pillows including the ones in the wardrobe very comfortable but that may... We had such a wonderful stay here in July we decided to come back to celebrate our third anniversary, and we were so glad we did. Our room was as spotless as before, we'd forgotten how fantastic the shower was (the biggest I've ever seen) and there were lots of thoughtful touches such as bottled water and home made biscuits.... We have been eating at the crown for many years and must say we never leave disappointed , the food, atmosphere, staff always great. It is so nice to see a venue offer consistent quality. I must say the prices are creeping up each time - this doesn't make them unaffordable but I just hope they don't get carried away... More

Just come back from one night at this Hotel and wish i've found it earlier. Over the last 10 years I have regularly visited the area and always stayed elsewhere but this is one place I will definitively return to. The staff were extremely welcoming the room [a standard double ] was well appointed ,clean and nicely decorated. One point... More

When we first came across this delightful Inn, it was being converted into a Boutique Hotel with 11 Rooms. On our next visit to Suffolk, we decided to stay there. That was some 5 years ago and we are still staying there on a regular basis. The Staff and service are outstanding and the Restaurant serves up dishes that give... More

We went on Saturday evening to celebrate two birthdays. We've been many times over the years and have never been disappointed. This was different, It appeared as if the staffing could only just about keep up with demand. But the main problem was the food. They need to revise their children's menu which is very bland and meagre. The steaks... More

I have left it a week to let the experience sink in. Rather than write one of these on the spot assessments as I have done in the past I thought I would leave it and see if my excitement levels were still the same 7 days after the event. They truly are and I can't wait to go back.... More

We had a celebratory meal at the Crown on a busy Friday night with our three children ages 5-8. The atmosphere was fantastic. There were plenty of people at the bar and there was a real buzz overall. I was pleased to see children at several other tables. Our meals were average. I ordered the risotto with smoked salmon which... More

We stayed one night booking two rooms. Our overall experience was excellent. Throughout our stay the service was superb- nothing was too much trouble. The staff went out of their way to ensure all our needs were met from catering for a gluten free menu to changing dinner reservation times. One of the rooms was quite small but it was... More

This was our first visit to The Crown and we weren't disappointed. Spacious car park, beautiful setting and the staff friendly and welcoming. We were a party of 4 celebrating my step dad's birthday. We all had 3 courses + coffee. A nice little touch on the menu was a wine recommendation for each course,a good way to discover something new.... More
