We ran into an unexpected problem trying to check in at an agriturismo we had thought we had booked, next door. Well, someone made a mistake and thy were closed, no one there. What then ? It was 9 PM, dark and a drizzle in Roccasecca, 1 hour from Naples towards Rome. Back to the motorway ? No thanks !... More

Another absolute gem set into the hillside overlooking Roccasecca - beautiful location - very quite with excellent air conditioned rooms - a fantastic sun terrace where both breakfast and evening meals can be taken whilst watching the sun rise/set. The food is glorious along with the owners recommendations for both local wine and beer.

Idyllic walks with lots of historical sights and the locals are lovely. The whole place has a very special feel. It's like a hidden gem! La Locanda del Castello is the only hotel in the town so we didn't... More

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Italy which included a one night stay in Roccasecca to spend time with relatives we'd never met. This hotel was perfectly situated on the hill overlooking Roccasecca - a magical place. Carla and Francesco are warm and hospitable hosts, even coming to the train station to pick us up. We... More

My husband, sister-in-law, and I stayed here for a night during our vacation in Italy. We came to Roccasecca in search of our family ancestry, and fell in love with this beautiful town. The walk to the ruined castle above is a must! We stayed in a beautiful triple room overlooking the town below. The room was beautiful, clean, and... More

Excellent location, historical construction dominating the valley, it looks like and old castle. It is well restored, really pleasant and not far from the highway exit. Restaurant very nice on a wonderful terrace or inside in case of bad weather conditions. It's perfect for families or even business reasons. Excellent also the cooking qualitiy and wines availability. Staff pleasant and... More
