We were in a chalet and couldn't book a water bungalow in time, they were snapped up months ahead! The price is worth it i say, especially the diver package and we got to dive in Sipadan three times a day daily. Buffet food was good too, catering to both PRC Chinese and Malaysian tastebuds. I completed the Open Water... More

First time visit.... Can't wait to return! Staff was very accommodating, Diving was the best, food was plentiful, and was very friendly. Rooms are small bungalows, private bathrooms in each bungalow. You can walk to everything in area, dive shop, beaches, family style dining area. Typical national foods served for breakfast, lunch an dinner. Very relaxing.... I hated to leave.

I recently took my two daughters to dive Sipadan and we stayed at the Smart Resort on Mabul. The staff is nice, and our dive master, Rahman, was excellent. He really knows a lot about sea life and points out things you would never see without him. The diving was nice, especially the island of Sipadan, where we saw loads... More

The room i had was "253" and it was very loud (doesn't bother me as i can sleep in any condition) but in case it would you might tell them you don't want it. The food was better than expected and the DM "ronnie" and "justin" (something similar) were great! They only thing is we traveled in groups and some... More

This was our first time diving at this side of the world and staying in such a small island! The whole experience was amazing! The trip to get there is quite long. You first need to get to Tawau. In our case, we took a flight from Kuala Lumpur. Then, they pick you up with a small van. After more... More

This is my first time to write a review in TripAdvisor. My holiday was actually from 30th Aug till 2nd September to Kota Kinabalu Mountain. Due the the earthquake incident we... More

My husband and I stayed with here with a large group of friends for 1 week. 5 days of diving with three boat dives per day. We dived 2 days at Sipadan - I could have dived Sipadan for a 3rd day but decided to take photos around Mabul and Kapali. Nitrox diving was and extra 35 RM per tank... More

I've always wanted to visit Sipadan Island. I've been dying dive Barracuda point, south point, turtle carven, muck diving in Mabul & Kapali. I looked up this place online. So there are many other options to stay in Mabul & Kapali. But i thought it was the best option to stay in Mabul. The prices were good, the rooms looked... More

We had travelled here on our honeymoon. What a fantastic place! People were so friendly, literally anything they could do to help they did. Our gear was carried to and from the boat, our tanks always full. We couldnt say a bad word about any of it really. If there was one downside, and its really picking here, its that... More

To me, this is the best place on earth: geat team, always smiling and friendly, good spirit, good food, bungalows are big and clean, the island looks like paradise. The dives in sipadan are the best dives ever, also was the macro diving around Mabul and Kapalai. The dive teams are outstanding and professional. This is high level tourism. I... More
