I booked here via web site. A really friendly welcome. Room as expected. Food on restaurant was excellent. Down side was wifi non existent in bed room an only worked in one small part of the restaurant. In morning it was cold in bedroom. No heating. By the time the heater generated any heat I was needing to have breakfast....

We were made to feel welcome,by both staff and locals, from the moment we went in. Both the food and beer were excellent as was the accommodation, and we would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

We stayed as a couple in October visiting family, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was included in the price and was very good. The rooms itself was good, however the bathroom was a little dated and needed some tlc but was clean and had all necessities. The main downside is when we stayed it was extremely cold...

Dear Lauren, Thank you for your feedback in relation to your stay with us and I am glad you found the team friendly for your stay with us. It is a little frustrating when we have heating queries as all heating is on a timer however we didn't get cold for the majority of the season until well into November...

Being equidistance from Taunton and Ringwood, and having checked Trip Advisor The Grove Arms apperared an ideal place to meet my Brother for liunch - we were certainly not dissapointed. The welcome was as warm as the open fire on that dreary December day. An inexpensive special menu was on offer but we all selected from the al la carte...

Okay not much happening when I was here mostly because of the cold weather but I can see this is a good place especially in the summer. Good decor well maintained and very well kept rooms. Friendly staff

Dear Saffdev, Thank you for your review and noting it is a decent village establishment. It is a shame you visited on a quiet day as those are few and far between as there is usually locals frequenting the bar and diners alike but hope you join us again soon! Kind regards Nina

A good, small hotel with pleasant rooms and very dog friendly! The food at the pub was excellent, both the evening meal and at breakfast. Good location to explore Dorset and the coast. Would stay here again.

I had a lovely time over my two night stay. The team were exceptionally friendly, with Nina (the owner), being very helpful and letting me play with Buddy, the lab. I was inundated with offers of tummy tickles, both by the team and by the very friendly locals. The Grove is well located for day trips out, but also some...

Stayed here during August. Room was ok and quiet (at the back overlooking the car park). Bathroom wasn't great and needs updating, wasn't very clean and the shower hose was broken (working but cover was badly split). Overall we felt that £120 a night was overpriced for the standard of accommodation.

Experiences22, Owner at The Grove Arms, responded to this review

Dear Little T, Thank you for your review it is helpful to know when an item is broken in the rooms and although you stayed in August and it is now nearly November it is great when we have feedback so we can attend to any items which get broken due to wear and tear naturally. Unfortunately in peak season...
